My IROC has been broke for 20 years lol it is on my list(my 4th gen took all my time). But it was moved out of the storage I had it in. Due to the elements it is going to take a lot to get it back to is glory.
It's great to see some familiar names still around! Restoring an IROC after 20 years sounds like a labor of love! It can be a huge undertaking, but it’s worth it in the end. If you're looking for financial support to fund the restoration, you can always contact dave banking customer service. They’re great at helping with loans for projects like yours. Good luck!
I'm still here too. I'm in Helotes, TX. I didn't know there was a local 3rd Gen bunch until now. I've started again on my build. I hope to hear/see/talk to the locals.
Cheers,
Frank
Frank, I'm happy to see that you're keeping your car and are back at your build.
Thanks for the positive vibes! I'm stil wafflin' about keeping this project. My knees have told me to ease up so it's just sitting here for now. I need to find a local shop to continue. Sh*t!

Anybody interested in a 3rd gen meet in league city? Just south of Houston. if there's enough interest ill get something set up.
I'd love to to to a 3rd gen meet but I don't think that my car will be ready for the road before summer 2026. I'm planning to have it on the road before the weather turns real hot. Hopefully!
I need to do the ball joints, tie rod's, and all that little stuff. I bought my car as a roller with no interior after it was sitting in a field for 10+ years so i had to basically rebuild the entire thing. Its registered and driving now but i still got plenty of work to do. I threw a junkyard TH350 in it so i could start driving it but now its slipping lol, i have an extra burnt up 700R4 from my truck i can rebuild so i can have a overdrive gear.
