TPI mechanic in the Houston area
I'm all out of ideas on this car. Car will start but will not stay on if I let off the gas. Had new distributor, plugs, air control valve and steel nothing.
This is what I do know about the car.
Previous owner replaced 305 with 350.( Not sure if 305 exam is still in the car or he swap to a 350 ecm or if that even makes a difference.)
LT4 hot cam.
Vortex heads.
Chip

I'm by no means an expert but;
Have you tested your throttle position sensor?
Could your EGR valve be sticking?
Have you looked at your base timing?
Clogged injectors?
Is your ECM throwing any codes?
Will it drive at all (if you keep in the gas)? In other words will it make any power off of idle?
