Chevy dealer to avoid

I ordered a set of two front floor mats for my 91 Z28 from this dealer and they said they would fit that car. Well they don't. They say on them "Mr goodwrench mats for chevy real wheel drive cars". they are generic mats that don't even come close to fitting, just like the ones I looked at from Pep Boys except they say GM on them. The cost $52 and now they want to charge me a 30% restocking fee when I return them. Thats about $15 that I have to pay for learning that they don't know what they are doing. I don't want to mention names but it is WESTSIDE CHEVROLET IN KATY ON THE KATY FREEWAY NEAR GRAND PARKWAY.

I ordered a set of custom fit ones for Z28 from a website I saw on this bbs, I thinkit is nextgenparts.com. They cost $75 for set of four and the front one have Z28 emblem. Sounds great I hope this works out better.

Id NEVER buy a car here or let them touch one of my cars, but Landmark Chevrolet on I-45 just outside the loop has an excellent parts department. Thats where I get all of my stuff. They stock a lot of parts that other dealers dont.

Thanks for the info, im looking for another dealer for parts. I figured these guys would get to know me as I would probably be buying a lot of parts there, but they have a terrible attitude, like they are doing you a favor by waiting on you. Whatever happened to having a successful business by trying to please customer. f*** them, I'll give my business to someone else. Mac Haik is the next one down the freeway, I might try them first.

I know a guy who is a parts man at Van De Vere Olds in Ohio. He will sell stuff to you at cost plus 5%, which usually ends up being half price. You have to pay a few bucks for shipping, but there's no sales tax since its from another state. It takes about 1 week to get most parts.
1-800-362-9494. Ask for Dal in parts. Just tell him you heard about him on the internet. He's a cool guy and will hook you up.

That sounds great. I will definitely call this guy (as long as its something not urgent I guess). I don't suppose these bozos at the parts counter care but the only way to do anything about lousy service is excersice your option to shop somewhere else. The shipping costs don't make the parts more expensive this way though?

The shipping costs are low enough where it doesn't really make a difference. Plus there is no sales tax.
For example I bought an LT4 knock module from him. It was 26 bucks, plus like 3 bucks for shipping, ...total was $29
The local GM dealer sells it for $52+tax=$56. So I got it for $25 cheaper. As you can see the shipping costs are too low to matter.
