There are a lot of local guys on there. We usually have postings in our events section on when we get together and where we are going. Usually Saturday nights start out at Clinton Highway in Knoxville, and wind up in Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg. You should try and meet up with us sometime.

There are a lot of different cars on there, but it is mostly F-Body guys.

You all should check out the thursday night street fights this year at Bristol. I hope to be runnin' my car with a new tranny and some new gears. Welcome to the Board. I am from just down the road in Blaine, TN. I was wondering if you guys would know anyone who installs SFC in our area. Any advice would be greatly appreciated :lala:

 

I got mine welded in at Car Care on Chapman Highway for like $30. If you go there, ask for Freddy.

If you want something closer to Blaine, there is a guy up the road from you in Rutledge at Doyle's Auto Parts (828-4141). Call and ask for Tony or Randy, they should be able to point you in the right direction.

They are both big into F-Bodies, and Tony is a moderator on a local board www.highperformancetoys.com he goes by GMRACIN as a handle.

I have been to a few, but not many of them have any 3rd. Gens. Anyone know of any great Junk Yards, in the East TN area, that have a lot of 3rd. Gen Parts. I would prefer a place that lets you walk around, and pull your own. Thanks in advance...

they let you walk around and pull your own stuff, they have about a half a dozen to 10 3rg gen's mostly up on the hill behind the bus but there are some below too. I got a new radio face plate for 2 dollars hehe.. its like new.

I plan on going to some other ones soon to see what they have.

 

I live in clinton too, hey.. Did you just buy that recently? I think I looked at that car at the car lot on Charles Seivers on the way towards Oakridge.. its cherry as heck but I decided on a fixer upper for less.

hey man, i bought it at Tim Williams motors last april, he has a couple of thirdgens there.. i think mine is the one you saw . i love it man, and i'm doing my best to keep it in good condition. it's pretty much completely stock and i met the guy that 1st owned it. still has window sticker, and even the chevy tape cassette unopened! 89,000mi when i bought it. now it's pushin 94 i drive it to OR pretty much everyday, so i'm putting a lot of miles on it.

(you should go by tim's sometime, he has a very nice collection, but he switches his cars around often, i think he has several places he sells them )

Ill be up around 10:00am on thurs. Whispering pines is the big condo's on the hill on the left like you are going to Seveirville. Across from Dollywood. Assed around and didnt get the usual. Usually stay at the Valley Forge Inn.
