Are you looking for a stock one or an already built one? I've got a spare 10 bolt that you can have, I have no use for it. It's a '91 10 bolt with a 2.73 2 series carrier but no axles. I'm serious, if you want it you can have it, it's just sitting in the garage collecting dust.

I had intentions of going to the meet, but then reality set in and I realized my Camaro won't be done it time too, LOL. With no exhaust system (awaiting Hooker headers and cat-back), no interior (new carpet), and shocks and struts all waiting to go in (Bilsteins ), there's just no way I could make it this time.

Well I appreciate your generous offer bro, but I need something that is more functional lol... I am willing to pay, mine is leaking like a ****, and makes alot of noise...
So I guess I would need axles too... I really appreciate it though!

Hey Steve, I dunno about showing up in a 3rd gen, it may be a 26' Penske truck, but i'd like to try and come by. Would you mind posting some directions? What street is it on?

The Flying Saucer is located at 913 Senate Street.

Here's a map.

Moving to the Big Friendly? I've been trying to get out of this place for ten years.

On the rear end: Brocks usually has a few laying around. They're an F-Body specific jy in South Congaree (near the cola airport) 803-955-3181. Knew about the slave cylinder from your earlier post, just razzing you.

Andrew thanks for posting up directions!! I dont mind a 26' truck at all!! My buddy has a 91 rear he's going to be pulling out soon, and putting in a 4th gen rear in, ill ask him if he wants to part with it. NAF is right, brocks usually has tons of them laying around. I hope your able to get her running and driveable but if not perhaps we can have another meeting like this in the near future that you can make?!?!? I think it will all depend on how this first one goes as to weather or not I want to try to hold / organize another one. I think it would be sooo cool if we could organize stuff up to the point of it being regular.

good to hear that we're all getting ready to go to this.

here's my roll call so far :

My Purple Car
My Convertible
My buddy Andrew with his 91 Black RS
Garrett - 88 Pontiac GTA burgandy

ive got a couple more coming, but they may not be in their cars, as one blew up the rear in his, and another just got back from costa rica and hasnt had time to get his car running again, dead battery and what not. Im trying to work on that aspect though for him..

plus yall, so we should have a good showing.. I know some of the posts ive put on other forums have folks planning to come from NC and myrtle beach, and wherever else, if Nelapse can get his running too he'll be up from savanahh as well.

Im really looking forward to this!!

Unfortunately it looks like I won't be able to make it this Sunday. My shift has been "volunteered" for production this weekend. If anything changes I'll post but I doubt it. Hopefully this won't be the last gathering like this as I'd really like to attend.

that sucks you cant make it. However if you can at the last minute your still welcome. as for being the last one, we'll see how this first one goes, and if its well, and everyone agrees, we'll do it again. Im sure hoping that it goes well, and that no one is disappointed.

I'm planning on being there with Steve, I'm from his club. I don't have my own 3rd gen yet, but I want one and will probably be looking into getting one for a project car in the future.

Sounds like it went well. Hope another one will happen soon, with enough notice I can schedule vacation time to protect myself from future "volunteering" and get down there and meet you folks.

I agree, it was a good little meeting.. Had a blast.. good people, nice cars, and good food. (the beer wasnt bad either!) I hope everyone had fun! I think if we have enough interest we can do this again, in a little while, maybe end of august or something? Would yall be down for another little meet/get together? I hope everyone had as much fun as I did and I hope no one felt left out or didnt have a good time.. I personally loved seeing all the different cars.. shows that there are some of us out there that love the thirdgens and are willing to drive them wherever we can whenever we can!!

Ive uploaded some of the photos of the meet to my photobucket account. My buddy Mike has more photos, but i havent gotten them from him yet. I'll post them up there when I get them.

Ill also post up a link to my photo bucket acct as soon as I get them uploaded. Thanks to everyone who came!

lets see.. I think we got there around 1, 115, and left probalby well after or around 3-330 ish, and then some of us, (myself, my buddy in my droptop, Johny with his 4th gen, and Justin in his Firebird) went and took some photos of the cars downtown at various murals on buildings. Im going to post them up in my photobucket acct as soon as i get some time.. Im having to build servers and upgrade some of them today, so its been kinda busy for me

true it is a long drive for you.. which is why i was surprised when you said you may come.. its all good though.. It was the first sort of get together, and it seemed to go well. It was supposed to be extremely unformal, with no structure / rules / things or anything. Basically to see if folks would be interested in hanging out with folks who had third gens, and who liked to talk about them.

I know im new here, but I think you guys should make this meet a little more scheduled, something like every two weeks two Sundays of the month, that way everyone would know exactly when it's gonna be. Then if you guys want to do something really special you can post it up on here for a little more organization. It’s just my thought. I was part of a vw meet years ago and that’s how we did it. And by word of mouth and consistency we always had a good fun turnout. And every now and then we mad a trip to a park for a cookout or something.

oh and i will be attending the next one for sure...me and the Bird

if i go to fall autofair it'll be most likely as a spectator. Ive been before and shown with GMMG.. it was a blast.

Here's a link to the photos I took at the saucer :

Here's a link to the photos my buddy took
3rd Gen Meet

As for sheduled or what not, its an Idea. this was our first shot at it, I really didnt know how it would go over, and *IF* anyone would want to do it. I think it went over pretty well, and I think we may have enough interest in actually doing it again.. what do you all think?

yea, thats not terrible. we had folks there from sumter and myrtle this time, which was cool. I think that while columbia is close to the middle of the state, its hard for folks in far places like myrtle to make it everytime. I had origionally only intended on columbia area folks wanting to come, but it was open to anyone... and Im glad that the folks from sumter and myrtle did come as i think we really had a good time. I also think that it would be a shame to just stop at one get together, as these cars are becoming classics now, and lots of folks still have a sweet spot in their hearts for them, so we should show them off!

I'm 2 hours away up here in NC. Would Rock Hill be a more convenient location for some?

I don't mind driving. Enjoyed meeting the guys (and girls). My only request next time is that the beer and the cars not be separated, although it was a hot one Sunday (and cool inside).

hehe.. no problem wendy.. glad you had a ball. thats what it was ment for.

Mike : I agree, the beer should have been closer to the cars, when I was there for the MR2 meet, we sat on the deck cause it wasnt that hot.. but unfortunately this weekend it was SOOO bloody hot we all went inside Depending on where / if / when we do this again, will dictate if we can have the beer and the cars together!

I do agree though, it was great meeting everyone. So much so, that my buddy mike is going to look at an 87 Iroc today!

Sounds like it was a good time and worth the effort. i arrived a day late, sorry i couldn't make my wife pack faster. Wound up whacking my 91 front end when backing down the ramp to take the car off the trailer(OUCH!). But at least I'm here and enjoying Columbia. Hope you do it again soon. I'll be there.

Ouch, sorry to hear that, if i had a garage Id offer it. right now still waiting on the house and staying in a hotel by columbiana mall. As a buddy of mine always says "you can go as fast as your wallet will allow" and if you beef up something you create a weak link somewhere else. hopefully it is the easier solution.
