Re: Moving to Mobile Al

and WE , in Pensacola go racing every Saturday night. we are for sure more performance oriented. we could really care less if it is a thirdgen, so long as it hauls ***.

take a look through some of these videos:

http://youtube.com/user/slackerm1?ob=0

in particular, we have these:

my car: http://youtube.com/watch?v=KfbJFGcx0SY
Stage20's car : http://youtube.com/watch?v=fTUXAK_4-O8
my car around the 1:45 mark : http://youtube.com/watch?v=mkmeUGkDi3k
never hooked on the street there, but at the track i ran an 8.3 to his 8.6.

I would love to meet up, however I am not into illegal street racing you know? I rather race on a track.

I have already lived in Mobile for 4 years before. Being in Savannah, Ga now the weather is exactly the same.

I never realled looked into car clubs before. I almost got into one, but all the members used the cars as a measuring stick for who was better instead of helping each other out.

I am a huge gear head that rather get dirty with friends than listen to people talk about whos' car is faster.

Hopefully I can find a house with a big enough garage lol.

Re: Moving to Mobile Al

So I see you have an 88 bird - from your profile she sure sounds sweet. I'm a big fan of any third gen - actually, I'm a big fan of Camaros or Firebirds of any generation. Must say that 1988 was a spectacular year for third gens.

Racing has never been of interest to me and as for speed, I just want her to statisfy myself and my stock Camaro satisfies me plenty. When she was around 6 months old, I opened her up one mid morning on Hwy 267 south of T'hassee and had her up to +/- 140. That was enough for me - I've probably had her to 100 twice since then. However, I do like to get after it on the Cervantes street ramp to elevated I-110.

While I've never met the Alabama or Miss. guys that post on this thread, I have a very positive opinion of them. I think they will be a very comfortable fit for you.

Re: Moving to Mobile Al

competition is the best **** ever. its not -mean- for lack of a better word, to compete and brag about having a faster car. there is nothing like having to ***** to the walls fast cars and going racing. just to see one edge out the other by a VERY short distance.

there is no way you can this boring / unexciting:

I love racing. On tracks... Why would you spend so much money and time on your car then get it wrecked or impounded?
