I know exactly where that is. I used to work over there.

I'm thinking about organizing a small car meet at a Steak n Shake or something soon. Open to all makes but its invite by word of mouth only, so the idiots with Civics and **** don't ruin it.

running a th350. i welded this angle to the crossmember. it has 2 more adjustable brackets that hold the TA mount area.

a crude drawing of how its braced an adjusted. i guess i could drill other holes for the mount if needed? theres a 2nd brace for it too. very stiff.

heres a pic of it installed. the 2nd brace isnt in this pic. it runs from one of the TA mount bolts, up through the floor & through the shifter mount. not pretty, but it works for zero budget.

i'm sure everybody knows what rear control arm relocation brackets are? but a pic of them in the lower position. the next hole up is 1". thats what i went with. also running the founders poly-swivel arms.

found my drivers side rear was sagging a bit, so i put a spring helper in there. yup, red neck. spent my day babysitting g-kids & got no testing done.

And I finished the rear swap today. The grip with the 275s and posi is wicked. I can't wait to go to 315s in the rear and get a good tire.

Don't blame ya. I'm not far from you, over by universal studios area. Gotta cruise sometime or something. Maybe we can ride down to loneroads place if it works out.

Got a set of TPI 350 l98 heads. Good shape, could use a cleaning and valve seals imo. 083 castings. I think rubberducky may have been interested but not sure. Asking $100 for them. Also complete tpi top end (intake, runners, fuel rail, injectors) and a 91 l98 camshaft

PM Loneroad for his details. Meet is at noon. I'll bring tools and stuff just in case somebody needs to use them.

Me and L98 are. You guys wanna meet at the WaWa on Orange and Pineloch? Around 11? Right outside of downtown. We can hit the 408 to the Turnpike there. I'll bring change for you guys if you don't have an Epass.

Re: Official Tampa, FL Area Thread

So I have been occasionally seeing this MINT black 85ish sport coupe in the Clermont area. It has what looks like IROC rims and blue lower trim. And by mint, this thing looks like it just came off the floor. Do you guys have any pals in Clermont besides me? I would love to get a closer look at this car because it is a frickin time capsule!

Re: Official Tampa, FL Area Thread

Pretty good, pulls nice and all. Only thing that's now popping up all the lights are dimming. The batt gauge keeps jumping back and forth alot from 9 to almost 13 and change. Everything else seems to remain in working order and all the other gauges seem stable. And no change on how the car feels.

I think i'm going to have my Alternator checked. Probably tomorrow after work.

I'll be house sitting this weekend. Post some pics though.

As far as my miss at idle, put in a brand new shiny distributor and still does it but not as profound. Idk what's going on.

Update: Alt and battery are good. Alt was also bench tested. So its time to look at all the wires and clean and tighten all the grounds.

L98: Clean injectors? faulty wires? good coil? Just throwing out ideas hehe.

I'd put a volt meter on your alternator while car is running, may be a wacky gauge.

I have new injectors, wires, known good coil. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Crazy thing is, I've had this same miss for 2 years now and still with the new engine I just recently put in.

Remember, the stock gauges in our cars are complete junk.

I think its your harness or your ECM. I'm willing to bet with a MS and a new harness you won't have this issue.

Not yet. Though when it was bolted straight to the old intake I still had the same problem.

Computer timing seems to amplify the miss. If I unplug the EST wire, it almost has a normal idle.

You want me to get you in contact with Will? He might have an idea on your issue.

Well, I WAS going to order tires today, but I don't actually have the money lol. I've got exhaust and a new thermostat coming tomorrow, Saturday the exhaust goes on and I'll be doing the thermostat whenever, gonna put a correct housing on while I'm at it.
