Introduction...new guy here with moms camaro.
Hello folks, new guy here. I frequent many automotive forums. Same screen name on all of them. I’m in Dawsonville Ga, an hour north of the Atl. Like title states, my mom has given me her camaro. It’s a 92’ RS 305 auto, teal green, 50kish miles. Been in her basement for last 23 years or so. I start it up from time to time to keep fluids moving. It’s a time capsule. T-top car. Battery tender stays on car. I have to finish some maintainance on her Sport Trac and she told me when I bring the Sport Trac back, I’m taking the car home. I’ve told her for last 20 years that I want it. Tried to buy it from her multiple times, no dice. She’s finally ready to let it go. I’ll keep it in my shop, under my Chevelle, which stays on a lift. Gonna get it detailed, change all the fluids, prolly drop the tank and give it a look. Dad put stable in the tank last time it was out for fuel, prolly 3-4 years ago. Never used that stuff myself, so not sure what to expect. Anyway, wanted to drop in and say hello.

Sounds like a great survivor! Pics when you can, please.
I put Stabil in the fuel tank of my IROC Z almost 3 years ago and parked it. Last month I added 5 gal new gas, and some HEET deicer/water remover, "Just in case". It drove 25 miles home, just fine and I drained the tank. Fuel survived fine. I wouldn't recommend pulling the tank.

Thanks fellers! Will throw some pics up soon. I won’t get the car for a week or so yet. Good news on the stabil working for you Mikeceli. I will take some fresh fuel over there. I really don’t want to drop the tank, due to having to cut the exhaust. I have a shop with a lift, and weld regularly, but don’t want to cut this car up.
