Going to take my girlfirends camaro with the new 350 I swapped in, should run solid 14's I hope (maybe 13's??)! installed rockers and heavy duty trannyh cooler today. We should all meet up somewhere before head'n out to the track so everyone can watch me get more tickets

I've got a room reserved close by, the g-friend and I will be heading out of here (phx) about 1:30 so that we can get checked in and un-loaded prior to going to the track.
I may not race, but will pay the money to park inside. We'll have to see. It's a long way to push the car home if something were to break.

The rims are in my garage waiting for the drag tires to be mounted, so I'll be there. I might be bringing a couple other people with me as well.

You guys know I'm ready! This will be A.T.G.O's official gathering and I wouldn't miss it for the world. I WILL be taking my Camera for group shots and single shots of owners w/ thier cars for the sites profile section. Also, if you guys can please fill out on a piece of paper the list of mods you have on your ride and a list of future mods to go with your pics, look at my ride in the profile section for an example.


I was trying to see if I could make the decals before the 2nd so we could have them, but my funds are short due to payments and we still haven't figured wich one we want, just have to wait for those.


I am going to break 16 flat this time FOR SURE, seeing as how last time at the track it was my frist time running a manual, & I was shifitng into 4th "I was shifing way to early". I practiced on my power shifing & racing w/ a friend . and I did a little bit of remodeling in the engine bay to lighten things up, plus I have a few tricks up my sleeve.

P.S. IF it were to rain "LORD FORBID!" we need to find a spot to kick it anyways, anyone have any ideas?

 

Oh, and if the new R-15 rims get here by then I'll be sporting them for the meet. formul8! says his are shipped, still waiting to hear from Ronal about mine. I'll probably call them tomorrow.

i might go,but im not sure,i ahfta finish my car,but i cant find fenders anywhere, the places that ahve em try and rape u like 150 each.ill try and make it tohugh.

 

Whew..after 5 more hours of knuckle busting work, all of the poly suspension components are on the car. It handled real stiff on the way to get it aligned (where is it right now) and I can't wait to go pick it up.

All in all, in the last 2 weekends, the car has gotten new poly sway bar endlinks (front and rear), poly a-arm bushings, Spohn Adj. panhard bar, Spohn LCA's, Performance Friction z-rated brake pads, rotors, bearings, a new idler arm (stripped the snot out of the original ) and a new starter.

I'll try and get a fresh coat of Zaino on it this week. I'm looking forward to meeting everyone on Friday, even though I won't have the new wheels/tires on.

well i need some tires hopefully i can get some before the second but if not i wil still make it there i will just have to bring my bros trans am it should run low 14's last time i took it i had a bad clucht and a clogged cat but not any more hehehe

I'm probably not going to run. As much as I would like to, I still have the crummy tires on (Thanks Ronal ) and it's a long way to push the car home if something were to break, but I plan on parking inside the gates. I should also be there right at 4:30.

And if it does, it was gonna break on the way home anyway! I think you should run. I've been running with pi$$-poor tires the last few times.

I'll definitely be running the camaro tommrow, bad news is that I wasn't able to get the rearend "posi'd" (uh......welded ) and I'm not sure I'll be able to get it welded tommorow morning either, so I might be running like 15's at 100mph!! Did a test launch today, spun em through all 3 gears Damnit damnit damnit. Gonna try and wake up real early and get the rearend done and possibly swap the rear tires from my firebird to the camaro. These tires suck ***!

 

And the best thing is, that's *her* idea.

Man oh man am I raring to go! I am not settig myself up for disapoiment but I hope to run mid-late 15's this time around.

I still need to retard my timing a bit "yes I am getting knock" so hopefully I can do that before I go.
