I've been wanting to meet some 3rd gen owners that live in and around phx, i live just outside of mesa. everytime I come on this board everybody that is in az is in tuscon. I go out to firebird almost every week so if somebody wanted to meet out there that would be cool, i need some more camaro friends, a lot of my friends have mustangs and are always talking **** about f bodies so i think its time to shut them up.....

if your under preety much 21 there isnt **** to do in tucson(im 16 and the only thing me and my friends can do is cruise or go to partis).Heh i reeealy dont like tucson,i prefer pheonix,especially because a lot better concerts go there too.But there is about a thousand thirdgens down here.

 

There are a couple of posters from Phx. I live up by the Deer Valley airport, so driving to Firebird is a pain especially on Friday nights. I've been there 3-4 times (see avatar). It would be kind of cool to get together, have you been to the pavilions car show yet? There are a couple that show up out there. It's a little too hot right now but come fall it's nice.

 

yea im only 17....so i would prb be in the same situation as you...but it seems like just about every third gen I see around here is a beater...I'm not sure exactly how far deer valley airport is from firebird I know I'm about an hour away....I've gone to the pavillions a few times but prob wont go again until it cools down.. every saturday night if you go to Cooper rd. and Warner there is a car show there that I always go to.... theres more ricers than anything there but the few with domestics are pretty cool...

 

Take I-10 to I-17 N and just past where the 101 crosses it is Deer Valley. About 1 hour 20 minute drive to the track, less if I take the girlfriend so I can drive in the hov lane.
Agreed most of the 3rd gens I see are trashed. There are a couple though.

 

Phil (Phil87IROC) and I head up to Firebird on occasion - we'll probably be heading up there again in August - then again in October with Willie.

I'm out in Mesa. I've only gone to Firebird once, but I might go when it gets cool. I probably won't race, unless my parents sign for me (which I doubt they will)

sowwy i dont like tool,id have to be stoned to go to that concert,and that would make it seem like 60 hours long ,plus because of lateralus theyre will be about 12000 posers there,the only benefit to that is drunk hot women

yep thats me all right its a tpi 406. unfortunaly its still hasnt gotten its bigger injectors. if i get my 30 lb injectors ill be gaining about 40 rwhp easy. wheni went and dynoed the car with a bunch of other 4th gen guys, a viper club was at the same place, just the day before. and they had the stats on about.. 12-15 vipers *maybe 20*, but out of them all only 2 beat my stats. and from what the guy told me, the 2 had mahor work done to them *they both made 650+ rwhp* but he said most oft he others just had exuast or some small stuff done. *they were in the 365-385 rwhp range* i just bought a -2 yamaha r6, so my money has been going to it lately. but hopefully in a month or 2 ill get the injectors and better rims/tires *15x8 rims and 255/60 tires dont help out trying to plany this much power.

 

Firebird is quickly becoming my home track!! See you guys soon...........

 

my car isnt going anywhere anytime soon..damn thing caught on fire... i am trying to find out what i can do... i am thinking of switching to carb for the money and ease of tuning(i am a newbie)....

My whole wire harness is fried everything on the passenger side of the car is toast that was on the top half of the engine bay... havent looked under yet at the starter and stuff... they say i had 5 foot flames i guess my a/c or something shorted out the heater was stuck on when i came back and they say that was the cause??!?!?!?!?!?!?!

Anyone in the Phoenix area selling a carb or intake for cheap or any the parts i need to swap,e-mail me if so... might even decide to go with tpi if price is right,of course i need everything from computer to throttle body(harness)!!!
DAMN CAR IS ALWAYS BROKEN.. I think i might buy a civic...
