well.. i found out my r6 will lose against a couch
i was left 4 work monday around 7:15. and im cruizing down the I-10 in the HOV lane dping 60 mph and next thing u know, more link, when i woke up, i was lying on the concrete in the HOV lane with DPS and fire standing around me. my helmet wad already off of me and they wete cutting my cloths off... they even cut my jacket, even though they could have just unzipped it... from what the dps officer told m while i was lying there was the he was in the middle lane and saw that a couch was in th middle of the hov lane, but it was under the bridge so it had the bridges shadow over it, *which may have been y i didnt see it*, but he said i just nailed the couch and flew off. the last street i remember is 83rd av, but he said it happened at 59th ave thankfully 4 him being there, he as able to block off the hov lane so my butt didnt get run over as well. i got to take a ride in the ambulance to st. joes, and got x-rayed/checked out there and spend that night and tues there. ended up breaking my collar bone., left hand, have a good chunk off meat missing from my right knee *right above the kneecap* some road rash on my left leg, and some nasty bruzing on my left side/back... *ill get pics up soon. * im walking now, but it hurts like hell. the bike *i was told by a dps guy* just had a bent clutch pedal and some small scatches on the fairing. im going 2 get the bike out of impound tomorrow with a few friends help, so ill really see the damage then. and from what the dr's say, my butt aint doing **** for 6-8 weeks

Thats exactly why I chose to get into cars instead of bikes, even though making bikes go scary fast is much easier/cheaper!

****, even cars are scary. I awoke in inpatient physical therapy, with a net over my bed, no less, some two to three weeks after my accident. I failed to see an S-10 doing 65-80mph, and turned left out in front of him. Between couches and trucks, it doesn't seem that eyes can be trusted.
Sad to hear
. What kind of jacket were you wearing and were you just wearing jeans? Same thing has nearly happened to my on my 6 a few times. Closest call was when I was driving down the 101 doing around 80 behind a truck carrying a mattress. Mattress was shaking so I changed lanes and 15-20 seconds later mattress flies out, would have put me on the ground. Just so many things you have to watch out for. I wish you a speedy recovery and hopefully theirs not too much damage to the R6.

Damn brotha, that sucks. Glad to hear that your alright. I'm supprised the bike held up so well. Those pictures show why helmets are a good idea. After seeing what the road did to it, it's hard to imagine what it would have been like without it.

Never in my life have I seen so many retarded drivers as in the grand state of Arizona. Nobody here knows how to tie stuff down to their cars. I pulled up behind a girl in an S-10 with a large pole hanging off the back of the truck about an inch from the pavement that was holding on by a prayer. Needless to say, I pulled up next to her and told her she was dumb as rocks and she was about to kill someone. People at convenience stores here are pretty stupid too. But you can't beat the weather and drunken ASU babes!

** little update** I talked to the DPS cop last night, here is what he said happened *this is him talking to me*:
i got the call of the couch being on the freeway, and when i got their, i almosy hit it myself. so i pulled off to the side of the road and waited for traffic to clear. i waited like 5 mins and traffic still was still busy. then i saw you and ur bike and was like.. oh no.. and thats about when i saw u hit the couch. when u hit the couch, ur bike just obliterated the couch.. but the bike went up and over some of the debre it just made from the couch and you supermaned off like 2 feet above ur bike and the bike went under you and u landed sprawled out and then slid on ur left side then rolled a small bit and then u jut didnt move and you were unconsious for about 7-8 mins cause u didnt wake up till fire had u on the stretcher and almost loading u into the ambulance.
cool.. huh
but the only thing im pissed at is.. if he got a call on the couch.. y didnt he just turn on his overheads and just devert the cars.. cause from what i remember *around 83rd ave* the HOV lane was damn near empty. but i did thank him for being there and making sure i didny get ran over and helpng me till fire showed up.
