emissions on a carb??

emissions on a carb??
anyone ever passed with a carb on? i can tune it to pass the gas ****, but the visual.... ??? what problems will i run into and what do i need to do to avoid them

i got emmissions done here and they didnt look in my engine bay. well for 2 sec's i think they check a vacuum line or something..
89formula350 passed without a cat as well.. i am going carb also so i hope i can do what he did...
