Are you Old school enough to answer this question?

I am looking for the flame throwing exhaust kits that hotrodders install for tricked out shows.

Where can i find these? either self contained fuel source or just the coils and instructions to build my own.

emissions complaint I dont care i dont plan on using them while im driving or on the city streets although did i tell ya i hate tailgaters

Chad,

Back in the '50's that was done by putting a spark plug in the exhaust pipe. Cars burn fuel more efficiently these days, so I don't know if that would even work.

You might be able to rig something else that would work. Kind of like a giant Bic Lighter.

I just saw an old pick-up truck at a local junkyard/body shop monday that had that set-up in its dual exhaust. No idea if it worked or not, the engine was being pulled.

Lol just imagine the look on some ones face as they start tailgating and you light up the front of their car.

Just imagine the look on your face in the rearview mirror when you realize it was a cop in an unmarked patrol car .

If your car passes hydrocarbon emissions, the flamethrower won't work. Cars are much more efficient these days, and there's far less fuel in the exhaust to work with, and the fuel that there is to work with is burned by your catalytic converter.

If your car is like mine and runs pig rich with a toasted cat, tho... hehe.. well.. different story

if your carb runs rich, very rich, then you can do it. Heck my car spits blue flames out the exaust sometimes, and I'm TPI, but that because I have no cat and open exaust.

it is possible.

i believe you can make them work w/ fuel injection but you will need some thing that will retard the timing. I believe that they sell something like the msd timing retard for boosted applications. good luck

actually if you read the article in the website it will work with just about any efi, without retarding/adv timing the system uses a separate fuel line from the tank to supply fuel to the exhaust. and if you dont like that idea then you've got the option of injecting your own fuel to feed the source.

cops dont usually drive around here in HONDUHS or tricked out eeerrrice cars. so dont go there either, the particular location i live in is a long ways away for the cops to drive that and theres so dam many cops, MCSO up here they dont care, it takes the local fire department 30 minutes to get here and thats double for the cops

The only good Cat is a dead cat.
