Target has me closing Thursday night, Friday night, Saturday night, Sunday night, and Monday night. Something tells me I'm not going to be able to make it...

You tread in dangerous waters Bill....

I'm pretty sure there's only room for one wrench up in there. As a consolation, I am feeling much better tonight, so I may give this a crack..

Will let you know though!

I'm not sure I'll be there or not. I have to finish welding a gas tank up and put the rest of my spark plugs in. If I can break loose from the "have to" stuff then I'll be there.

Things didn't go well with the 80 today, but I drove it down anyways. I had to leave before dark, as I couldn't turn my highbeams off and didn't want to attract too much attention.

I figured out how to turn them off once I got home though!!

Bill you and I may need to talk, as it appears I'll need to raise the engine to get the heat sheilding off in order to gain access to the exhaust manifold bolts. Not something I feel comfortable with while it's parked in the street and I'm by myself.

The turn signal switch is weak, or broken, but if you turn the right blinker on the switch works to turn the highbeams on or off...

I though about unplugging them, but also just wanted to get the car home. That's the most miles it's had on it in 3 years LOL!

I was there, I guess the next two weeks are the busiest time of year. They said between 900-1000 cars are expected to be there the next 2 weeks. So I will be there

Sounds like the little oddly shaped piece in the LH side of the column that is pressed on by the assy. the TS stalk slides into may be mislocated. Then again, I can't remember when i worked on a pre-82 column, just the late crap.

Yeah, I gotta break the column open, I know. It's on the list of things to do. It also feels like the spring isn't there so the switch may not be returning to dead center. Luckily I've got all the tools.

I work(ed) Sunday as well Bill, so I didn't call. I have a project at the house that I need to finish before I can go getting too deep in the Pace Car.
