'87 Firebird owners...Thinking of having a "Yard Sale"
Hey all...
I've got an '87 Firebird that I'm thinking about parting out. WHen I say part-out.. I mean I need EVERYTHING to be gone. The only problem I have is, I don't have the space to part the car out over time.
So I was thinking, if anybody is interested, having one day in the near future when not just one, but as many people as possible could come over with their $$ and tools and strip the car all in one day.
If there are any other years of Firebird that have the same body as this does, you're more than welcome too. The body is straight and clear of any dents all the way around. The doors are good.. the glass is good.. the glass T-Tops are good. The rims are good. The hood is good. The unibody is good.
With regards to the engine, I'd rather sell it as a whole. I don't know what it is that's wrong with it, but I'm sure I'd give whomever a good deal on it. Also, the tranny (700R4) was installed not too long prior to the engine breaking down.
If anybody is interested, let me know and we'll set a date.
Thanks,
Chris

It's my dad's old Firebird so I'm not altogether sure as to the quality of the interior.
I've enclosed another pic that shows some of the interior.
The dash is cracked to all hell so I'm sure that will be going way of the garbage.

700r4 - $750 obo.. It was replaced shortly before the motor crapped
The center caps may be IN the car somewhere. It doesn't appear to show them in the pics.

Ominous, Synapsis.. understand clearly right now that a V6 700R4 will not bolt to a small block... it *will* bolt to a northstar, though
Umma, interior looks far better than what's in my gf's car.. figure out a price tag. If we can work something out, I'd be willing to gut the interior, sans headliner (she's got a hardtop... although she'd like a T-top.. hey.. how much for the rolling chassis + interior?
)

As far as the trans goes.. all I know is that he paid around $900 for it and the motor crapped out shortly thereafter.
I wasn't sure what to price it at so I just threw out that #. Obviously I was way off so I ask sympathy for my ignorance.
TechSmurf - I wouldn't know where to begin on pricing out the interior. All I can suggest would be to come have a look and we'll go from there.
azvolfan - not sure on the rear end. It would most likely be what came stock on the car. Also, if you're the one with "GOTTORQ" of something like that as a plate on your Trans Am, I rolled by your place earlier today. It looks good, ya need to put that in the garage with the Camaro. Let the wife park outside.
mrt89rs - bring me $300 and your energy to remove the trans and it's yours.
