I'm planning on being there.. no gaurantees though.. I'll be lounging in the stands, though. V6 is in no shape to come up and make a pass (emphasis on the "come up" part... trailered she could make a pass if she could pass tech)

Hot damn, a Toyota CT26 turbo. How's that turbo working out for you? I bought a brand new (from the dealer 8 years ago never used) CT26 for 250$ to put on my VW, but ended up selling it to a guy in Florida for 875$.

What's that car run in the 1/4?

I used most of the 875$ to buy a motor with turbos. "Two of the small ones."

It's a little too big for the 2.8.. and rather than get a smaller turbo, I'm seeking displacement at the moment (anyone have a 3.1 short block for sale?) .... bearings are already shot, poor thing wasn't prepared for a 30-40% hp increase after 168k miles. Once I hit about 3k, though.. yeah... it scoots. Prolly in high 15s at present with the not-so-great intake/exhaust work, seriously undersized fuel system, and 5 psi. High hopes for mid 13s after I get the 3.1, sy/ty electronics, better manifolds, GN injectors, etc.. stuffed in.. not setting her up for drag, though, so who knows. 1:25 around laguna seca is my idea of fun... but it will be many years before I can drag her up to central cali.

IIRC, Defensive Driving costs 120 bucks anyway.. so regardless, it's a chunk of cash.
