Anyone know this guy?

Saw him driving last night, while i was driving home from my girl's house (lol thanks). Its a 87 rs with what he says is a 3.9L v6 in it. He tried racing me on golf links but im not in the mood for getting another ticket...The car looked pretty good, has grid tails with nightshade on them and he really needs to do something about his sterio dimming his lights. It was SLAMMED, like seriosuly I don't think the guy is running any springs WHATSOEVER lol it was bouncing like crazy. Looked pretty clean though and today i was browsing auto trader and saw he's selling it for 10k! pic:

Edit:I looked at his ad again and he says hes running 'bags! Pretty sweet

Lets get aaaaallll of this straightened out right now.

So mike and I are on the way to his house from cruising when we turn on broadway and camino secco, Mike said "hey look!" I looked over and who's car do I see....the white mystery car. I immediatly fliped a bitch and headed over to where the car was. Me and michael got out and started walking up to a guy and a couple of girls standing by it, I asked the only guy there "is this yours?" He said no and all the sudden this cute chick steps up and says "It's mine." After taking a second to process in my mind that this car belongs to a girl I start asking her about it.

Well it's a show car with a get this "a polished 2.8 ltr. MPFI motor that runs 13's.....ON THE MOTOR." If thats not BS then I don't know what is, it actually had V6 headers on it and a dry nitrouse shot but I doubt she has ever used it, the nitrouse nozzle was connected "after the maf." If you don't understand that means the maf wouldn't read the cold temp. change off the nos and add more fuel. So the car would technically not even see the nitrous and just lean out resulting in a blown motor if she would ever hit it.

The ride itself was beautiful, 6" cowl with an SS badge on the back and tuned port injection badge and a BUNCH of goodies.

When we started asking her more about the motor she said "it runs 13's on the motor, a VERY fast ride" Michael couldn't help but say it sure as hell didn't look like a 13 second motor and I told her it sounds about as fast as my ride so I called her out to a race, her reply was that it was a show car and not a race car...funny how she doesn't race it but know it runs 13's and is even faster on the bottle. Bench race anyone?

So overall it's a swan with the motor of an ugly ducking, a major cripple to such an awesome looking car. I can honestly say there's 10k worth of stuff done to the car but cosmetically. When we were leaving she got in her car and it wouldn't start LOL.

Actually, it's a moot point on the MAF. 2.8 MAF sensors aren't hot-wire MAFs, they're frequency film (a film inside vibrates as air flows through the MAF).. and they won't compensate in any manner for nitrous regardless of where you put the nozzle. 2.8 + dry shot == "I don't like my motor". Just FYI (they also don't work well in a pressurized environment, hence why I'm ripping mine out.. within the next two weeks! Woohoo!!!)

Sergio was to busy drooling all over the "recaro racing seats", 6" cowl, fat exhaust tips, **** pit full of gauges, and some other racing paraphernalia why’ll I was deep under the hood asking question after question about the motor trany, exhaust and the only reply’s that I got form her was that it was a " 3 point something liter"(in those exact words), that it was really fast, that it had a nos kit on it, that the car was an 87 and see know nothing else about it. So I looked at the vin and 8th digit was S so it was a 2.8 and I looked under the hood and what did I see??? It was a 2.8 v6 with everything but the headers looking stock. OH yea with one nos solenoid and no bottle any where to be found.

So I just had to say that sure as hell don’t look like no 13 second motor to me, and that’s on or off the bottle.

This thing is all show and no go.

Hell, it's no go AND no show! I think 6"s of cowl is way too big regardless of what motor you got crammed under there (unless its the ONLY way to get clearance) and as stated before, bags are crap on any car. I also really don't like the way camaros look without a spoiler...

air bags or no air bags, spoiler or no spoiler, the car is still a slow pos that is not worth a quarter of what the dumb a$$ wants for it.
