Are you putting in a big cam, ported/or aluminum heads, or aftermarket intake?? If the answer to any/all of these questions is NO, then putting a 454TBI on your 350 is a complete and utter waste of money. Just port the bore ridges on your stock TBI and throw some more fuel pressure at it via adjustable home made regulater from the Ultimate TBi mods.

i am putting world product torquer II heads on. i think ill use a comp cam 304-8 (210/220 @ .05 , .500/.51 lift , 114 deg lsa). and im not sure about a manifold yet. i need an egr set up to pass emisions here. would a carb manifold with an adapter be a better choice than the edelbrock tbi performer?

90_WS6_Formula: what is a fair offer? im not tryin to lowball you. i really dont know anything about these tbi's. maybe they cost more than it is worth for my set up and just tbi mods to my 305 tbi is enough. any advice would be appreciated. thanks

for one I'd make sure that the springs on the heads would handle that much lift. I have a set of world product torquer sr 305 heads and they will only go to .500 lift.

What you want to do is set a realistic goal of where you want to be as far as output goes. Then build your engine accordingly. You can blindly go on modding an engine and it still wouldn't be as strong as a well planned engine.

The stock TB will support around 275 HP with a better fuel pump and of course as Chris pointed out an adjustable pressure regulator. You can either make one adjustable or purchase an aftermarket part.

As far as the 454 TBI goes I'm putting it in an Ebay auction with a 7525 Weiland Single plane intake that's EGR compatible, and the adapter plate.

Almost any aftermarket intake will be better than the Edelbrock TBI intake. It's simply a bolt on replacement for the stock intake that offers some performance improvements.

Bruce... for $3 I'll let you look at it.
