Well,

this weekend I got rid of my 85Z28. It was an offer that fell into my lap out of the blue and after giving it a lot of thought, I traded my baby away for a house full of expensive furniture. Went to my brothers house in Gilbert to buy some stuff from him cuz he can't pay his rent etc...and we got to talking and he said he would have to sell whatever I didn't buy and suggested we trade straight up for everything in his house. I went to buy 3K dollar roll top desk, 3K grandfather clock, sectional sofa, oak curio cabinet and a few other small things and ended up taking it all.

I just happened to move into a nice 4 bedroom house and not near enough furniture to fill it all so this worked out for both of us as he has always wanted a hot rod. I actually cried when he drove away. Before I seperated from my wife recently, that car kept me sane the last three years of my marriage. It was my whole life. I tinkered on it almost everyday. Changed fuel injection systems twice and finally settled for carb etc...I will miss her but at least it's still in the family. I got 20K worth of furniture 3 yrs old and newer. It includes a 3500 dollar piano, a 4K curio cabinet, a house full of plants, pictures and a crap load of other stuff. All I have now is my 95Z28. I plan to put a 383 in it and race that one. I will also hang out here I am sure and get my brother to become a member.

You guys have been so much fun to get to know. I had a blast setting up the cookouts and stuff. This web site has been such a great place for info on these cars. It saved my *** many times when I was starting out. Once I am settled in this new house I will concentrate on getting the 4th gen to where I want it. I am sad and happy at the same time. Just wanted to let you guys know about it. Thanks for all your support and friendships...PEACE OUT!!

Good thing is that my brother has it. He will replace the interior, weather stripping, paint and whatever else he wants. For now I am staying with the fourth gen as I just made a huge move into this 4 bedroom place and dished out lots o' coin. If I was to buy another one at this point, I would buy one already race ready. The current plan is to build a 383 for the 4th gen and race it instead. Time will tell.

Cool..Look for Camaropimp on weekends around CP area. He just drove back to base with his sweet 2002 SS Pewter colored Camaro.

If you even think for a second you get to leave TGO you have another thing coming. You've helped to many a member here (and yes, the cooling system right now is not only one of the only things working properly on my car, its still working INCREDIBLY well) and made way to many a friend. Like many many other former thirdgeners, you'll be back But yeah, this board has changed like NO tmo, and quite frankly, I could really care less if you talk about your 4thgen Really sad to hear you no longer have your car, but like you said at least it is still in the family!

I'm still gonna hang out here from time to time Bruce...thanks for the nice compliments. Glad to hear the rad is still working. Camaropimp is back at Camp Pendleton right now with his new car. I couldn't get a pic of it with him. Too many things came up. I have the 95 that was his before so I am happy for now. It needs some work such as torque arm, lower control arm, front a-arm etc. from the accident. I will get to it soon enough. Then there is also some body work. I certainly don't like it as much as my 85 tho. I prefer an auto over a manual and his car is harder for me to get in and out of. Guess I'm too old and too fat. I do like the t-tops tho. The previous owner had the car running a 12.3 with a 383 in it. I will see what I can do to better that.
