Steering Box?
Pheewwww, I just spent a good amount of time searching through the suspension board looking for info about the steering box. Everyone there recommends/wants only used/junkyard parts.
Is there another company that has better sterring boxes for our cars? I know of AGC (or something) through Jegs or Summit. But at +$300 for the unit, there must be a better alternative. Also, I'd like a better ratio (I am not familiar with steering). I am looking for something that I don't have to do the hand-over-hand routine to turn, just a 1/4 turn of the steering wheel.
If nothing, I will break down and buy the AGC box.
Oh, did I mention I got my PA racing parts Friday? :lala:
Looks sweet! Maybe this or the following weekend they will go in (need to order the Eibach Pro-Kit
). Then custom suspension fabrication.

Try Lee's Manufacturing in Sun Valley. Best around (IMHO). Will build your a custom box to your specs. Brought new from the junk yard and had them rebuild it for auto/track use. Also has the best fluid too. Just don't tell him you use Redline

I agree with Glenn. Have your factory steering box rebuilt. FWIW the quick ratio box in my GTA is 12.7:1 IIRC.

I'll give them a call or stop by, I know where they are. Thanks Glenn!
Thanks Brett for the ratio, I'll see what he recommends.

Whoa! They quoted me mid $4xx to rebuild mine to 12.7:1 (fastest available) and $125 for the pump?!
It's better to go with AGR (not AGC
). There must be other sources for gear boxes, this is rediculous.
