smog question
does your speedometer need to be functioning in order to pass smog? I have a conversion box from my T56 to my ECM but my electronic speedo is backordered and my JTR cable conversion isn't going to ship for some time. My smog is due sometime in mid-July but I 'd rather get it over and done with. Should pass OK.
I past smog with no speedo
my speedo has not been fixed since i bought the car. So of course it always throws the soft code. if the smog guy is going to fast the system tells him he is going to hi an he has to slow down an maintain the correct speed. Although if your sensor throws ne emission diffrence if it the light comes on soon Im not sure. my light does not come on tell I get past 65 and if my rpm's fall an my speed falls bellow 1600 rpms the light is on, just my 2 cents. I have no clue other than that. 700r4
