So much for all-out race car

With many thanks to Russ and my dad, I have working A/C in my car again! I guess there go the plans to gut it and turn it into a race car. :lala:

Oh and in case anyone wonders, I changed the AC compressor myself. I'm more than capable of working on my own car.

Wait, is this Don posting with Kevin's user name (like Kevin does with Don's)?

Kevin you wuss, be a real man and drive that 3rd gen like it should be. Non-functional A/C and windows down. So, you'll be able to do mine, eh?

I meant what kind? Did you already have one, or did you buy it just for this occasion?

My dad has a small vacuum pump, but Russ has a nice large one that works very fast.

And yes, this is Kevin on Kevin's account

My last job on that day was in San Clemente, so I took the service truck home and stopped by Don's shop to pick up my transmission for my pick up truck. I had the 7 cfm vaccuum pump in the truck. It only takes a few seconds to pull the typical automotive a/c into a deep vaccuum. Kevin really did change his compressor.
