Hey guys and gals it's time again for the annual summer party at my place in Los Alamos.

This years tri-tip went into a new 383 so it's going to be a pot luck, cook-your-own, BBQ. I've talked Cindy into letting us start at noon for the long haulers.
I'll have a hot BBQ going by the time you all arrive so we can get to cookin and then to eatin.
Things other then meat for the barbie need to be brought as well. I'm thinking beans, salad and garlic bread. We'll need to organize that here on the message board.

Still trying to be humble I realize some folks may still want the special tri-tip I can marinate some tips if folks want to pitch in.
One tri-tip feeds 3 people and they are usually $7-8 each. I'll start today to get a "goog guy" price for the tips. I do enjoy your company so this year I'm thinking a cook-your-own thang. This way I don't have to slave over a fire till I'm drunk then veg. I can get drunk and veg a lot sooner now. J/K

So what do you folks think?
Any comments or suggestions?

Just tell us what you want Dwayne, and we'll bring it. Except for car parts, I need those for myself.

Well, I hope you plan to attend your own BBQ, Dwayne. I will also be there, I can bring burgers (meat and buns) for those interested. But those interested could bring the extras (condiments)?

I'd like to come up, Dwayne. I'm on a Tuesday through Saturday shift at work now. If I can get away, I'll be up, but it depends on how busy I am that weekend.

As I said in a previous post, I'm going to try to get away to come up for the BBQ. I think we should organise who is bringing what in terms of side dishes. If each of us comes up alone and each brings a veggie dish, a salad, beans, and desert, we'll have WAY TOO MUCH FOOD! If each one brings a side dish to feed himself/herself, and 6-10 others, we should have plenty without having too much left over. Does that sound about right?

I have a flyer with a map. I just haven't posted it yet.

Like Kevin said I'm about45-60 minutes north of SB just between Beulton and Santa Maria.

They also just repaved my "test track" It's smooth with no pot holes. Both Lanes!!!

Ok, two weekends left and still we have no set issues of how we are going to let Dwayne chill, with a margarita in da shade , while we cook. Everyone attending needs to provide input into this!

I for one agree on the BYO, but is that feasible? I know guys don't do pot-luck (funny, I used to think this was a real "pot" luck ). How's about we pitch in for more tri-tip, yet you cook your own portion? Then all we need to bring would be drinks and what ever side dishes (chips, etc ... ).

I'm cool with marinating and even getting the side dishes but I can't afford all that.

I think we need some sign ups for:
baked beans
bread and butter
salad
dessert

Then sign ups for those who want tri-tip.

Who's in???

At this time, I'm planning to come up. if I can get out of work. I only had to work 10 hours today. That is my shortest work day this week. I also got caught up to the point that I don't already have 8 hours of jobs scheduled for tomorrow! Of course that could change at 7:00am tomorrow morning. If I can come up, I'm planning to make Baklava ( a Greek pastry).

Lets see if this comes out ok. I saved a .doc as .txt to see what it looks like when posted on line.
I don't know what I expected from a .txt file but at least the info is there and you acn use the zip code in mapquest.

I'll send it to whomever requests it.
