Bare with me folks, I am coputer-less at home at the moment. So I can't easily provide updates during the weekend (especially when I am away for an event
).
Ok, since no-one showed any specific interest in a start time, and there is another event I am sure other will want to go with, we'll have to conclude this event by 3pm. That basically means this event is to start at 1pm. As for where to meet, it will be the San Fernando Road exit of the North bound 14 Freeway (1st exit pasted the N5/N14 split in Santa Clarita). I will be making the "maps" soemtime this week (at work).

If you miss this event, don't worry. I plan to run the route with "other" cars (all gens, vette's, basically any muscle car) in the future. This is just for the 3rd genners (wish I had mine running
).
).
Have fun guys, I have to work. 1:00p.m. is probably a better start time than 5:00p.m. that late in the year anyway. We go off daylight savings time this weekend, so it will probably be getting dark by 5:30.

Since I just got my Trans Am fixed, and the fact that I can't really take any time off from my school work, I figured I'd try to attend this event.
(good reasoning, huh?)
I've been lurking on these boards for about 2 years now, so I guess now is a good time to introduce myself and start being more active. What do you think?
Anywho, I only have an LG4, so I’ll be in the back of the pack with the 6-ers and non-fbodies.
C-Dawg:
As mentioned above (sort of), I’m not 100% sure that I can make it. But if I can, I could prolly come down and pick you up. I’ll be in So. Pas, so it’s only 30 or so miles down to Hermosa Beach, right? I’m picking my Trans Am up in about 7-8 hours, haven’t driven it in a month or so… So I don’t mind the little extra trip.
Lemme know if you still need a ride or not.

I might have to bail on the "cruise" portion of the day. I've spent tha past 2 weeks hogging the garage with my Camaro while I replace the (still functioning perfectly) door hinges with the greasable ones. I'd already installed a set of the non-greasable on the IROC. So the purpose this time was just to have a rolling advertisement of the product. I've been fabricating some tools to make the job easier. When I get spare time I've been working on it. Broke the tool once, back to the shop to re-weld it. More grinding and finessing and I still can't get it to do what I need. I had planned to spend today working on my car for a change.
But today I got tied up a LOT longer than planned helping another customer from 10:00 AM until after 5:00 PM. Thanks Don for your help. We found the missing parts we needed at a dealership, $17 and change to replace what we needed. I got back to my project after 7:00 PM. I've spent another two hours tonight with no progress to show for it.
I'll start back on it fresh in the morning. But just in case I'm not there you'll know why. The frustrating part is I can't drive the car the way it is. The top hinge bushing & pin are out and botttom pin is out already. The lower pin of the upper hinge has had the end ground off already. So there is nothing holding the front of the door if I wanted to cut it short. And NO I'm not using 200 MPH tape on it!

So where exactly is everyone meeting? I will try to wash the ***** and get there but I need to know where there is. Would be cool to meet others with 3rd gens for a change...
Hey C-Dawg, sorry I didn't get back to you sooner. didn't mean to leave you hangin like that
I've been at my gf for most of the week, and she doesn't have internet access so I haven't been able to check the boards. At school we are about 2 or 3000 students and we share 1 (one) T1 line!
So, I wasn't able to get on there either...
And of course on the way home from school yesterday (around midnight) my brakes started to scratch and whine and make all sorts of noise. So I guess I have to change the pads today.
(Midterms next week, whooo hooo!)

We had 11 cars and 14 people, I think... We left at 1:30 or so from Carl's Jr.
