1LE front brake install ( 3X 70 kb pics)
I had been piecing it together over the last couple of months. I got the rotors and correct spare on ebay, Earls braided lines at summit, new calipers at autozone, pads at the Ford dealer (cobra brakes), bearing from DAP, spindles from house of camaro, prop valve from GMpartsdirect.com, misc bolts/brakets/adaptors from Spohn, and other misc bolts at a chevy dealer. I kept my original brakes on their spindle and totally intact. It took me about three hours to remove the old brakes, build up the new assembly, and be able to test drive the car and a few more after that to replace the rear brake lines with the braided type, install the correct prop valve, bleed the system again and take it for a ride.
I had modified the calipers last week. Spohn supplied 3/8 fasteners to bolt the carrier bracket to the spindle but I went ahead and purchased GM bolts and tapped the holes metric.
