Car still having issues...

Check out my post https://www.thirdgen.org/techbb2/sho...hreadid=139637 Too bad it wouldn't act as it is now for Kevin and Don last Friday. The car is just terrible. Anyone at Randy's party that was out on the street should of been able to hear it burbling. I can't figure this one out at all and it doesn't help me being a novice mechanic. Anyone want to through any advice it will be greatly appreciated.

did Don throw his extra MAF sensor on it for sh*ts and giggles? What were the MAF readings at WOT and RPM? Idle? And how do those compare to a stock 305 TPI?

FWIW my bad MAF only triggered the check engine light a few times, but I never got any code(s).

Of coarse my BAD MAF was similar to my bad TPS, which had some properties of my bad fuel pump, which was similar to......

James, everything on the Diacom looked perfect. MAF readings were 6 GPS at idle, and smooth thru the powerband while driving around. The TPS sensor was normal, too. The BLM and INT were steady in the 120's to 130's, mostly around 128. The O2's flipped normally. There's nothing wrong with the car software wise, so it really leads me to believe its something physical. I'm sorry I've been unable to figure it out.

I know you guys probably checked this, but just in case, didyou check resistance on the plug wires? I remember Don checking mine when my 89 was running rough, and finding that some brand new wires were bad out of the box!

Well I am going to the GS3 meeting tomorrow so maybe you guys can come and see the problem for yourselves. It is really irritating because I have lost power and the car just plain runs horrible. There was one good thing out of tonight and that was I fixed one headlight with Lon's headlight repair kit. The headlight comes up perfectly now I have whats left of the old bearings which I will bring tomorrow. The only real hassle with doing the fix was the damn bushings in the motor which were a PITA to get right. Lon knows what I am talking about.
