Etching or acid dipping services?
I have some stainless steal that I need to take off .250 to lighten it up, does anybody know where I can take this piece to have it "etched" or acid dipped?
Any info would be greatly appreciated.

sounds like your looking at chem milling more than stripping.
I had my 65 fastback dipped a couple years ago at:
Painting & Stripping Corporation Of America
10051 S Greenleaf Ave
Santa Fe Springs, CA 90670
562-946-1521
I had it dipped to remove rust but in the process the acids used eat at all the metal. They might be able to help or at least steer you in the right direction.

Called the place in Santa Fe Springs, they didn't want anything to do with it. They said etching is illegal. I dunno? So once again if anybody knows of a place that does etching or acid dipping I'd love to hear where? How about a place where people take there blocks to have rust taken off, dont they have to acid dip blocks?
