New motor at machine shop now.

Today when I droped off the parts for my new short block ( Rodeck aluminum block, LA billet crank, Eagle 3D H beam rods, Wiseco forged pistons. ) he asked me the reason for running Eagle rods and not Carrillo rods.

I told him that $ 1,300 for rods was more than I wanted to spend than he walked into the parts room and returned with a set of Carrillo stroker rods with SPS-CARR bolts in them ( $400 extra ) and said have you forgot that you have a extra set in storage here.

Now the bad news the crank I have will not work with them so its time to buy a new crank so if someone wants a good deal on a LA billet 383 crank with Eagle 3D rods email me.

Jerry, I think you fit the "... you know you're a serious hot-rodder when ...", since you have/had a spare rotating assy you did not know about (forgot). Good to hear you are making progress. BTW, what is the target CID, 2 cubes short of huge?

This motor will be 6.7 or 413 CID the bore is 4.145 and the stroke is 3.820 The new crank will be in next week.

All my cranks in the past have been about 50 to 52 lbs the new one is under 44 lbs I want to see this.

Crank spec is

• Aero-Wing Design Counterweights
• for Reduced Windage
• Nitride Hardened For Superior
• Wear Resistance
• Pendulum Undercut Counterweights
• Straight Shot Oiling System
• Counterweights for 6.0" Rods
• Lightening Holes in All Rod Throws
• Large Fillet Radii on All Journals
