Need to sell!

I've come to the realization that my family will not have much of a Christmas this year unless this car goes away.I need to sell my wifes car and obviously I am asking too much. Can someone tell me, realistically, what I should ask for this car: 91 Z28 5.7, auto, black/gray, new stereo, cd, power windows, power door locks, rear disc brakes, cc, a/c, B2L, FE2, G80, G92, J65, L98, N10, all original condition, runs great, wifes car, never abused, just needs paint, have extra parts. The motor and trans were rebuilt at 90,000 miles and the car now has 130,000 miles. I don't want to just sell it to someone off the street. I would rather someone on this board with an interest in these cars take it. $2500 firm. My loss your gain! Merry Christmas! email for pics and more info. bad_turbo@yahoo.com

I've seen a lot of guys post cars for sale on this board that they want to go to guys on the board who will appreciate them. The problem in my opinion is that most guys on this board already have their 3rd gens. Most of these guys get one car and fix it up.
You will probably get your price if you just sell the car to the general public.

I would take it but...

I had to sell my '91 TA Convertible when my son was born. So I am still 3rd Genless. Problem is I am still low on funds and I'm partial to Trans Ams. - Bruce

You are Kinda Right there Russ, But it does not hurt to let every one know your are trying to sell your 3rd gen, as they may pass the word around to a friend that just might want to buy a car etc. I sold my Camaro to a 3rd gen owner on this board 'while back. He sold his Rs and bought my iroc. But you have a point.

My point is that it is fine to let the other members have first crack, but when you get no response, instead of asking if you are pricing the car too high or if there is some other reason why it isn't selling, it is time to "widen the loop." If someone tries to over value a car on this site, It doesn't take long for people on the site to set them straight, and I've seen no tendency to be shy about expressing oppinions.
