Dec 6 meeting

If there is a meeting tomorrow, I probably won't be able to make it, but I have a couple of ideas to bang around.
If the xmas dinner will be at Knotts on the 13th, then why not eliminate the gift exchange. That weekend is their annual toy drive BRING A TOY WORTH AT LEAST $10.00 AND GET IN THE PARK FOR FREE. So buy a toy for the kids and we don't have to worry about buying a 3rd gen gift and the park is free.
Also due to the number of people in our group do we get a reservation time, or do we still have towait in line. If a reservation time then I suggest 4-6pm. If we have to wait in line then I suggest about 2-3pm. And we should all wait in line, as if one or two people let a large group cut in line that REALLY irritates those behind us.

I was going to mention that you should bring a toy valued at $10 or more if you want to arrive earlier and enjoy the park. I plan on bringing a toy and playing in the park. Knott's Christmas Crafts Festival is also going on for a separate $6 admission fee if you wanted to do a lil shopping.

If there isn't much interest in holding the reular Meeting, I'd just as soon stick around here and crank out product I'm running low on this weekend.

I really like the Toy Drive idea. I know I certainly don't need anymore car stuff in the garage so pitching the gift exchange to do something for the kids is the way to go IMHO.

What is the interest in the meeting? I'll probably be wrenching on my car tomorrow and would prefer not to have to rush around worrying about getting to the meeting. If there is little interest I'm going to opt to stay home and try to fix my car.

Well if you guys say you arent going to go, that's not much incentive for anyone else to go, too.

I want to have a meeting, but I dont want to show up to 6 people again.

I'm more than willing to make the drive to the meeting. It just seemed that we were dwindling to another 6 people meeting as last year. One important topic to discuss is whether we go forward with the new web site. Considering zero discusson regarding the topic, it doesn't give me any incentive to shell out money a site that no one cares if we have or not. I think it is important to decide on this topic once and for all and either move forward, with full support, or drop it and continue with TGO adopting us as orphans.

I had planned to go to the meeting until last Sunday. I don't think I'm going to be up to it physically now.

None of us that have the address of the new site are posting anything or making suggestions on the new message board. That's why its not going anywhere. I say we just give out the address and letting the "general public" start using it.

I can make the meeting. I will bring the Scanner Bret if your going to make it. If we are not going to have a Meeting, Somebody give me a call (818) 996-3879 and let me know. I'm getting ready to move and 20+ years of living in the same place has to start getting ready to go.

I think we need to take a roll call of who plans to attend the meeting.

If enough people are planning to go I'll be there. My car has been running fine the last two days, but I'm headed to Kay Auto in the AM to grab a new EGR valve and solenoid just in case I need them. After that I'm gonna test the injectors and relpace the CCV hose. If all goes well I won't be pulling the plenum off.

Lang, I'll give you a call tomorrow and let you know about the Snap-On scanner. I'm hoping my Auto Xray cable will arrive tomorrow so I can run it on the GTA.

I don’t think I’ll be able to make it. I have to work until 3 o’clock and then accompany the owner to the venue our Christmas party is being held for final menu selection. So realistically I would be looking at a 5:30-6:00 departure time. I’m sure you will agree that an extremely spirited drive to Valencia for a six person meeting simply isn’t worth the possibility of incarceration. But hey you never know…

I should be there...The BF works till 6 so we may be a bit late but we'll be there! I have to show everyone my new bling-bling wheels and Alex's new super low stance!(you'll probably hear him scrap as he pulls into the driveway) That makes 2 more! Plus we have a couple of noobs that may show up...and I believe we have a few locals in SCV now that should show up...

I was thinking maybe some with a list of everyones e-mail should drop a group e-mail about meets/events the Wendsday before(or 3 days from whenever it is) cause some of these guys aren't as addicted as us and dont check the board everyday...The day after we all meet we always get posts saying, aww I missed it?, I forgot!, etc...I know I have just plainly forgot there was a meeting or was planning on it and the day before, forgot and made plans that overlap it...

This way we have an aproximation for a roll call and if it doesnt look good we have a day to send out an e-mail calling it off...dunno just an idea!

I'm going and bringing a half hour "Story of Camaro" on VHS for Show 'n Tell. Frank Watson (FUBAR) will be going also to answer any questions about the web site.

I'll be there as well. I picked up my EGR parts today, but the car is running fine right now and I can deal with it tomorrow.
