It was a great meeting. A good 14 cars showed up if I remember correctly. Due to traffic, it was hard keeping the group together. But still a great cruise. Here's some pics I took. The lens was a bit dirty so they came out blurry.

It was fun to meet a whole group of people that I've never met on any of the other cruises. I've always wanted to see a bunch of 3rd gens going down main street in HB! (Especially a group of mostly firebirds!)

LOL Yep finally got the tires for the rims. Now the car just needs to be lower and it will look perfect. I am going to go use my Dad's digital camera to get some pics of the car this week with the new wheels

... and three 4th gens, hope you don't mind following a pair of 4th gens all the way down.

This was a great group of car enthusiast, this is the kind of people I enjoy being around ... NO ATTITUDES! I will have videos and pics of the cruise up later today on Jenibella's website.

BTW: Kevin, it was a season opener ... for the new club (that will allow 4th gens) that will be starting up, not for SC3G.

It was great to see old faces and meet new ones as well, always a good time!

Peace Out,

Hey Randy, that would be to have two SS going down the street leading a bunch of F-bodies. Although next time, please do not wait until the last minute to order something. We had to wait for Randy, while him and his co-pilot decided what to order for the long cruise.

You and Kevin will be the only ones peeling off in another direction. No one there had a problem with the 4th gens, we were having a great time!

Good ... go off on your own way, we don't need/want your kind around. If you don't like the people/cars, you do not need to attend.

You know me, I have to make things difficult. Like having to decide if I want to drive the IROC or the SS

P.S. Looks like we will no longer have to decide if we bring the RS or not, as we no longer own it

Don, be a man here ... what is your real problem with me anyway, it definately is not the fact that I own a 4th gen. And no, I do not have the (what Kevin says) 'stereotypical 4th gen attitude' that is what you seem to have. I want to see if you are man enough and stop playing these childish games. Where did you come up with that statement ... or are you just pulling **** out of your a$$ again as usual (like when you said everyone did not want me here? Guess again 'pal', that is why I am here, no one agreed with you that I asked! (which are old timers of SC3GFB) so who agreed with you besides Kevin?)? I have never been thrown out of any clubs ... I choose to leave those clubs because I like being very active ... either on the race tracks, events, etc ... to which very few clubs have been. I started planning **** for SC3G, but due to personal reasons, I needed to step down. Now look at SC3G (aka: SC3GFB), still it is an internet club with very few activities going on ... and the members, very few actually show up to events ... which are few and far between. I am not diss'ing SC3G, I like the people (I even respected you, but not any more) and wanted to have fun get togethers with them (and I still do get together with them ). None shows me the attitude you do, so I don't treat them like you.

I heard you were 'upset' because I didn't acknowledge your presence at Fontana? Aww poor baby, he got his feelings hurt. I would just like to know why you must be a jerk and can't let people enjoy chatting on this message board about issues that are car related and fun to us all. Oh, may be it is because you weren't part of it and we had a better time. Don, just keep your mouth shut and stop with the flames/instigations.

I don't think anyone wants to hear you and your hattred for me, I know they are tired of it. So do them all (and the SC3G) a favor and stick to the topic at hand, stop with your childish flames, and let people do what they want ... enjoy each other company!

Kevin, don't even delete this!

Yeah I think the person I 'sold' it to will enjoy it. I hope it takes care of him as well as it did of me. I did remove the Hotchkis Suspension before I let it go though. Which of course means the IROC is no lowered as I had to get stock springs from somewhere

I'll snap some pics so that you guys can see. In case anyone is curious Donna is now driving a 1998 1/2 Ton Dodge Ram with a 8' lift and 37' Tires

I have no problem with you at all and I certainly have never called you names or anything else. So why don't you take this private and and stop making a fool of yourself for everyone else to see. I offered you a chance to discuss it in private to no avail.
You have made your point, you don't want our friendship, so fine let it drop.

I don't understand why 4th gen people act the way they do, considering just from what I have heard.. There is no big wood about a 4th gen it's just a car.. It is a poor mans performance car just like the 3rd gen.. Keep to the Tgo rules that's what matters here..

Yeah I talked with Nigel the other day and he asked why didn't I make it.. When is the next gathering? Yesterday my trans went out, probably smoked out the 3-4 clutches with that Heat.. So my trans is toast.. Im looking for a Stall Converter right now! Is Rusty using a converter in his Gta? Where did he get his? I really wanted to find a used Yank or any thing as good those good ones for 600 up.. But now I need to find a cheap one that is good for 2400-2800 or so.. Im going to just be using a ZZ4 cam but I want to be sure I can swap cams b/c I have smog this Jan. So basically just going to get another trans built and freshen up my short block b/c it's using oil And the Vortec's are ready to go on. Unless I can find a cheap wct5 and swap in that kit that cost a 1,000 or so.. Im not up on this auto so much.. So many 700r's I have seen brake someday Id like to see what My engle cam can do and a 700r4 probably not going to like it..

Rusty does an extra 700R4 with converter. I can ask him how much he is willing to sell either both or just the converter for, or if you want just send him a PM. Sorry to hear that your tranny is acting up again, and that is seems your motor needs to be looked at

I see the fun continues. Glad to see its the same old people, just a new Episode...

Since I havent been here in close to a year, I will say...

Randy, Donna! How ya been?? Jennifer and I wonder how you guys are doing all the time. Give a jingle now and again! Wasnt too long ago, I had my own version of what happened with your trip to Big Bear, only my mishap was in Pismo Beach, Multiple Contusions, 3 Broken bones, Cracked Sternum, Injured Jaw, Broken Meniscus, etc. I thought I was superman and pretended I could fly... WEEEEEEEEEE--- THUD!

Rusty- Awesome turnout man!

Nigel - Rims look awesome! Your ride gets sweeter everytime I see it.

George!! - Hows married life?

Yeah, I think that about covers it for now.

I was invited to go to the gathering, but I will still resting, been a month on the 27th since the accident, but I still am pretty gimpy. Typing with one hand as it is. I would have loved to be there, the z28 is still running, just more missing paint, and a few more rattles and creeks. Maybe I will get a chance to see you guys soon. Take care!

If I wanted to watch a soap opera, I'd come home at lunch and turn on the tube.

I suppose its bound to happen, with a group that specifies a certain timeframe and group of vehicles that things like this are going to happen. I personally had always thought that this would be a place of those who shared a common interest to talk with one another. Take my dad for example, he doesnt own a thirdgen but has been around them for as long as I have. He's technically owned them in the past, and has driven many miles in them. He still likes driving them today. He has knowledge that is helpful in some ways, but maybe not in others that are very specific and unusual to thirdgen F-bods in general. So does that make for someone that can be a part, or not? Where do you draw the line at? Has to be a current owner, have an interest in the car, and know the book about them too? If thats how you want to write up the unwritten rules, well then do it and make it so instead of talking about it all the time and whining when you're in a mood.

I'll tell ya though that if you dont like George's posts or whatever, well... then dont read them. I got tired of them a while ago when they were dripping with more smoochems than a romance novel, but it doesnt mean I want to boot him halfway to the moon or that I still dont enjoy his company. He obviously has some interest in hanging out here with friends and cars he has/does shares some interest in, so whats the big deal? Not like its costing us $100/letter every time he posts or speaks but it sure seems like it.

Probably talking to a wall though, this group seems to have more skeletons in and out the closet than half the queers across the globe... or more likely the RedRocket and Blue Bunny. Makes me more than frustrated to see that half the actions or inactions are based on feelings from the past. Time to drop that crap already and move on, time is passing you by while you guys **** in the sand.

Chris! How dare you insinuate that James (my long term male companion) and I are attempting to conceal our feelings for one another? If you were to ask anyone on this board they would openly tell you that we are a couple and in good form. Perhaps it’s a little middle age angst that has you so wound up. I tell you what; why don’t you spend a quiet evening with the two of us and explore the possibilities. Feel your inhibitions melt away after a few libations and a little playful conversation. Something tells me your skeletons are getting restless in that closet. Sweetheart, you don’t have to run from your impulses anymore. Just know that when you do decide to fling that closet door open, there will be friends on the other side waiting to open you up to a new lifestyle…

Wow!
I missed out on a fun time, it looks like!
Some infighting too! But, that goes on in all the clubs I have ever been in!
When it bothered me enough, I dropped out! I just hope you people can still have gatherings!
I would love to come out and visit with many of you (gay or not )! Won't be bringing the 20th though!
Maybe you guys/gals can get a thirdgen River Run together! You are all pretty much of age to gamble!
If any of you go out to Laughlin, feel free to email me! You are all welcome to come out and visit! Well, except...............................................................................

Later,

George

Yeah Nigel has a nice Ride, Now if I can go over to his house and pull him by the ears maybe I could talk him into taking it to the track to see what it will run..

Sorry to hear about what happened Jason, How did this happen? A Quad or something.. Well, hope all goes well with the recovery, Are you going to make it to any Gatherings Soon? And hey when are we going to make that run in the canyon again for a rematch. Considering that time The Dentent cable was not adjusted in correctly.. and it sure Wasn't The Red Roc... Well peace.. See ya around soon..

Your dad has a thirdgen engine in his car, it was made in the 80's like thirdgens, and I dont see any Grand Prix owners talking about how their engines were hand built by a supreme being and better than anything else. Although I hear the GTP owners do look down their noses at the older generations, too.
