Serpentine Setup...

Rusty was gracious enough to give me a complete serpentine system. Once again thanks Rusty that was awesome of you:hail: Ok now I need to know what I am going to need to pick up to get this on the car and have my AC functioning. So far from what I have read this is the list I have come up with:

AC compressor (he gave me on but I am unsure on the condition and really want my AC to work)

Accumulator

Waterpump (also given, but from experience pumps left around with no fluid leak after being put back on the car)

I read something about fuel lines. What's the deal with that?

I will go through again what Rusty gave me. He gave me a lot so I will sort through it. Is there anything I am missing on my list that I should pick up? I am trying to figure out the cost right now and to make a checklist of things to pick up. Like I said I REALLY want to get the AC working on the car again and since now I have this setup I might as well convert at the same time I fix my AC Once again thanks Rusty

You need the hard/rubber lines for the AC stuff to hook up properly. These are not cheap. Hope he gave them to you.

You'll have to do some switching around of the wires for the alt and AC, since they are changing sides on you.

The PS return may or may not need to be bent a little. I dont know what was done to the pump I got, and if its any different.

Your stock air intake plastic stuff might not clear the AC pulley. Try it and see?

The smog pump stuff is setup differently, although I couldnt tell you if you could get the original setup to work or not, I never tried. I suspect you need to use the later style setup, just because of how its arranged and where its at.

Hey Nigle if your missing anything let me know and I'll get it for you I have a few parts I think you need. The water pumps are the same all you need to do is put the pully on it. As for your ac I would purchase a new accumulator and compressor. Auto zone sells both for under 250 total. The wiring is no problem. Also for the smog pump we could figure it out i dont think it will be that big of a deal. Just let me know and I'll cruise out and help you install it all

The water pumps are not the same from serp and vbelt. Not only is the hub different, but the fins inside the pump are curved in the opposite direction. Big no-no there.
