Hopefully after you finish my engine, you'll be saying the same thing, except, "Now Raider Ken is ready to go out and kill a blue bunny"

Just because you're a big boy doesn't mean you can play with the big boys. You can throw all the new go-fast parts that have been approved by the TGO internet community including one off prototype parts (that took hours and hours to build) on your car and still only go mid 13's. Just ask Don

Just like the great MC Hammer said, "you can't touch this!"

Well I'd be there in November but my car has been running funny lately. The idle has been surging and my gas mileage has gone down quite a bit...although it does "feel" faster...but we all know how dependable the ol' but dyno is, right? I might have to borrow my scan cable back from Don and see what's happening when I get more time but for right now it's good enough until i have more time to "fiddle" with it.

James, James, James...
Just because you have asked me to get a higher stall on my Vig TC so you can buy it; just because of your LT1 intake and 242* cam; just because of your recent inquires of 383's doesnt mean you could intimidate this big boy.
I dont care about anyone else, so long as YOU can read my license plate frame as i laugh crossing the finish line.
You know what they say, go big or go home.

Hey Brandon, good luck with your "new" car. Here's hoping you get a 12 second run at Fontana. If your car is still there I will check out the final product this Saturday. Maybe this Saturday will be a chip tuning session for our cars. Allen

Let's see how smart James is.. See if he can figure it out..
It was so funny Don had me busting up..

It os official.. The car is running as of today.. And Im

I have to thank Don for this great running car, he put in a lot of effort and devoted time.. There was a lot of modifications and lil tricks Don had to do to make this just right

There is just a few small issues that need to be fixed.. Im sure the car should be rolling real soon.. And story is we have another 12 second car in the group.. Already running good off the start..

Branden, if you had a piece of my you'd be wondering around with a dazed and confuzed look on your face and walk with a conspicuous limp...wait a second...

You have to give me something to work on if you want me to guess. I'd read your mind but you leave me nothing to work with

What, the headers? It's better for him to get a big bang upgrade rather string the upgrades one at a time.

now why isn't Don biting ???

Yeah Allen I believe Kevin already knows where tuning that day?.. Don has already started to tune a chip from something of Randy's Bin.. Thank You Randy that started the car Now if I Remember that chip had a surging problems didn't? I have 4 chips for Kevin to work with.. He probably can get the car tuned with what Don started and easily change some tables and fix the closed loop surge kill..

James is right.. if I had not went with those better headers.. I would have not been able to make as much hp..

Thank you much every one.. Julie see you at Fontana.. I hope every one can make it rather you race or not..

Engine bay

A few things that need shortened and put some more plastic electrical covering on some wiring id like covered.. The long swap is over.. Now it's just time to finish it off with some relocation brackets.. I bought like 16ft of Nos line to run for trans cooler.. They say it works for both so will see.. I heard the Braided line was a lot easier to use when disconnecting those lines for any reason.. I hated fighting those on 4l60's..
What Don plans to do is run the stainless steel fittings off the trans and bring it down to a mount.. Modify the existing steel line going to the radiator where those will go into stainless steel hoses going to the cooler..

All right all right.. Your smart James.. I had seen those tips and kinda liked them, they were starting to collect Rust.. I actually like what you like is the turn downs with the angle cut.. But having a red car those tips don't look so bad.. I polished them up..

Im pretty happy on how well this engine is running.. And it has not even left the rack for any road tuning..

There have been some people that have been unsure of the Vortec heads.. Evidently they work b/c Don ported and built some for a Nova I believe and it ran real good..

Hey Man.. I never said anything..Now I have a car as Don said ready to take names.. I never said that.. Don was just pumping you guys up for Fontana, been kinda quiet let you know there probably is another 12 second car on the road.. So if that's the ticket to this story Im just going out for fun.. My car is not a drag racing car.. Every one knows you probably only going to see it being drag raced is this one time.. Maybe a time next year if there is a change..

Don't get me wrong Vincent this is something you should have mentioned to Don.. Because in a way yes your actually right.. That's the way it should be seen..

I just hope every one has fun..

I'm having trouble getting my combination together. Now that the knock problem has been pretty well solved and a good tuning sessions at Don's Saturday I now have a bad spark plug wire. The plug wire starting going bad during the last tune runs. I can tell though that this engine really likes the 4000 plus RPM range and pulls real hard. Might have to change my shift points to about 6000 RPM's. Only time will tell. Right now the trans is shifting around the 5200 mark which I can tell will be to low.

I should have it all straightend out by the following Fontana run. Anyways the November 13 runs will be a good baseline to see where improvements will need to be made.

Brandon's car looks to be another potential 12 second car. He is going to need LCA relocation brackets to help get the power to the ground. We all know how good every one else's cars run. Should be an intersting season for the SoCal Third Gen's. Allen

wow guys, the 13th of november is Fontana? Is there an entry fee? Is this a dyno day or just for runs for time? Sorry I'm a little ignorant I just got into town a few days ago, as you may already know.
Thanks for the info guys, I'd like to have my car dynoe'd and tuned soon since all the work has been done.
