anyone working on their projects? my LT1 intake just 95% complete.. finished the EGR adapter.. all thats left is to drill the distributer hole, and get some fuel lines made.

Going to work, which is pretty much usual. I am going to visit my Father tomorrow. Then on Sunday or Monday I might get some time to complete a project I have some parts for on the Z28. I have already completed a similar upgrade on the IROC - I have taken some pictures and post them once I am finished. Other than that I might get some tuning time for the IROC to try and make sure it is working well with the TB

I'm having a BBQ on Sunday with about 100 people on my front lawn. El Modena HS has July """3RD""" (not fourth) Fireworks show three blocks from my house every year and my front lawn is the best veiw on our street- Hence I host the neighborhood party each year. Everyone rolls theor BBQ's down the street and we have a blast

I'll just be thinking of ways to keep ahead of Dave and Don and catch Vincent. Looks like he is going to do a whole lot of catching up with his mods.

Hi Dave
Julie has expressed an interest in it a few weeks ago. You are second in line if she does not want it. As you know it is good for the 1989 and up models. Also I had to use the IAC portion on my Holley. Allen

Just picked up a buttload of "fun" fireworks from Nevada. Plan on having a very "explosive" festival in my street.

You and I had e-mail eachother about 2 or 3 years ago about suspension stuff you were planning on your car. At that time you had told me you live off of *andy there (I know exactly where but won't reveal here). Mentioned to you at that time if you ever have seen my wife driving her Camaro up and down Collins. I am 5 mins from you.

edit: As to the what are you doing this weekend: setting up lawn chairs in the front yard and watching the neighbors set off illegal fireworks they bought in Vegas! (With a hose handy just in case.)

In the wonderful Republic of California it's illegal to celebrate our nations birth except in George Orwell type controlled conditions. IE pay money and crowd in with a bunch of strangers in some stadium with insufficient parking.
Now in LA's Chinatown, across the fwy from city hall, they celebrate Chinese New Year with all kinds of explosive fireworks.
I guess we can't upset the hyphinated Americans.

Hi Dave
Talked to Don and you have the older style throttle body. By the way it comes with an SLP airfoil as an added bonus. Allen

Be careful out there everyone!!
Tonight I was driving up PCH in HB. I was at a stop light and some punks in the car going the other way threw a firecracker at my car as they went by! Grrr.
A few minutes later I was driving up Main street, and I heard a bang, smoke, and saw people that were rolling around. Looked like another firework, and drunk people fighting, the usual.
But then the SUV in front of me moved, so I could see... Apparently somebody parked in a space on the street had floored their car in reverse, and somehow landed across the street on top of the corner, where there had been people.
Well, everybody be safe and watch out for drunk drivers and fireworks!
(And cops.)

Upped my fuel pressure this morning to 50 pounds from 46 pounds. Hopefully this will produce a better spray pattern and help with the lean out problem my car has in the higher rpm ranges.
Next up will be the Mufflex 3.50" exhaust system as soon as the Magnaflow muffler shows up and Don has the time.
Then the conversion to Speed Density and a dyno tune. If all goes well and this gets me into the 12.5's I may very well leave it at that.
However there are two mods I'd rather not do but might to achieve by goals.
1. Comcams Xtreme Fuel Injection 268XFI HR13 cam.
2. Meziere WP321S electric water pump.

Hi Vincent
The Compcams XFI cam is more agressive than the standard Hot Cam or the Xtreme Energy cam. It has a lift of .570 on the intake and .565 on the exhaust. This means alot more time over the .500 lift and max flow for my heads.
However they also make a 224 degree Xtreme Fuel Injection cam. I just like a decent idle.

Allen, Maybe you have them already, maybe you don't. If not, might I just suggest adding some higher ratio aluminum roller rockers. I like a bottom valvetrain that doesn't have to travel as far.

I have a .565 on the intake and exhaust with the old school Erson 1.6 roller rockers that I had since 1990 when Supershops was around.

Hi Guys
Yes I'm running the Crane 1.6 roller rockers. The above specs are with the 1.6 roller rockers. Thanks, Allen
Note; Who'a Vincent, that cam is more aggressive than I thought.

It"s only a 280-288, 2000-5800rpm cam. The Super Ram is good up to 5800. I think the heads are good up to 5800rpm with mild port work. Maybe everything I have is a good match.

I would say you have a good match with your parts. You now have the gears to go with those parts. Yes you will be hard to catch but no slip up's or I will pass you.
