I sat in KITT

Most of the pictures did not come out well (Throw away camera).

These are from a few weeks ago when I met George Barris at his auction preveiw. He let us climb in and out of all the cars, what fun.

Thats my buddy Louie (Vertical Doors) sitting on the wheel of Grandpa Munsters Coffin dragster the "Drag-ula". He and George are working on a car right now for an upcoming movie.

The 1 shot I wanted- Myself standing next to the great George Barris came out like crap.

Goerge up on stage for the press in one of the two original Batcycles. We also have a shot of Louies son sitting on the bike with George in the sidecar. The kid was reluctant at first then I explained to him to pull his head out of.. well- 40yrs from now you'll appreciate the photo op you had with Mr. Barris on that Batcycle....

It was so cool sitting in the Delorean. I actully lived in Hacienda Heights back in the late 70's when they filmed a sequence from first Back-To-The-Future movie in the north paking lot of the Puente Hills mall. Louie and I were 12years old and sat on our bicycles off to the side of the set and watched as they first reached 88mph across that parkinglot.

26years later I meet the man that built the Delorean for the movie and am sitting in it. Life has its funny querks. ps- the door doesn't stay open anymore, I had to hold it up.

Back to the Future came out in 1985, I dont think they were filming it in 1979.
Looks like you had a great time, though! Congrats!

You are correct, my misake. I went to jrHS there in 79-80 then I moved to O.C. Would go back to Hacenda Heights and visit my friends from there and hang out. I guess it was a few years later than I thought. One of my older brothers worker at Malibu GP (Now speedzone- was better back then) so we would go and hang out around puente hills all day and drive the cars free at night after work then he'd drive us back to OC.

Sounds like a great time.

I built a number of Barris' creations, inc the Munstermoblie, during my plastic kit days.
