I think you can go to the DMV with that and they can pull a history report.

 

I don't know about the dmv, but a carfax report will give you a history if the car was ever in a reportable accident or had an insurance claim, or failure to pass smog etc.

 

Use an internet search engine such as Google or Yahoo and find "free carfax report". I found a few in five minutes but they were expired. You might have more luck. There are only three "hits" on your carfax report, anyway.
