Lady Luck and the Boneyard
So today I sent in the items I had advertised and up for auction on ebay, shipped out the Dash to NC and cost me, $50.00. I was angry since I advertised it on ebay as $30.00 for shipping within the U.S. angry and stoked I drove to the Wilmington boneyards. The 1st boneyard I visited had virtually nothing and somewhere in the bones I seen the 88' Camaro I used to build up my Camaro. I then Headed towards the 2nd Location with a low moral and no hope. I arrived at the 2nd Location "Pick your parts" in 'Wilmas' so the locals call it. As I walked towards the valleys of broken and shattered Chevrolet's I seen many wicked looking Camaros and Firebirds whose dreams came to a grinding or screaching hault into what seemed like a germanic cemented fortefied wall, as time passed by I knew I had to find something to return from this hot and sweaty quest under the brutal and unforgiving Californian sun. With sweat mixing with grease all around my face dripping down my eyes leaving only but a burning sensation, I knew hidden treasures had to be found, with all elements working againt's me I advanced and vanquished. My friends feast your eyes on the treasures I found during my exploration through the robust steel jungle we call the Junkyard!
This quest could not of been successful without the fundings of my beloved girlfriend!!

----------
Total cost: 113.93

I had a good day too! 15 min. into the yard and found an 87 TA black and gold.
1. like new hatch contact assy. for the center brake light 2 bucks.
2. good headlight cover motor. 2 wire drivers side. 5 bucks.
3. set of T tops 15 bucks each.
What I didn't get.
CC quadrajet, factory aluminum intake (I have TBI), overhead console, TA ground effects, 2 gold TA rims, differential (probably a good ratio or limited slip),
and a whole assortment of other stuff that I just know people are looking for.
I'm lucky I had a little cash on me as the wife is still getting over a set of factory rims I got sent up from Fl. After I spent the better part of my vacation week stripping, and polishing them and getting the tires on she says I got em' lookin' good. SOooo.. Feelin good about myself and the ride I decide to attend a local cruise in tonight. So I park my car about a block away and start walking. Lot's of bad azz cars out there! Mopar's, Fords, GM's, old and new. Just about the time I decide to leave, I turn the corner to walk back to the car and I spotted a third gen. spoiler and when I got closer I'm like holy crap! An 87 formy 5 sp. TPI with one of the finest black paint jobs I've ever seen. This car's body was perfect! Not one door ding and the car was done right. All poli bushings, sub conectors, wonder bar, droped 2 in. MSD box, custom chip, Hookers, The seats looked like about 50K mi old and he said he bought it in 89. It still looked new on the outside with new paint a couple of years ago. Funny though, his rims were done exactly like mine, stripped, and polished. I told him that's what I did this week but after lookin at his car I told him I wouldn't drive it around the block to show him! I sure would have liked to have found the dual snorkel air cleaner though !!!
