Well the time has come

To say goodbye to So-Cal. I'm ready to leave and set up camp in the mid-west furnace (111 deg including humidity the last time I checked). I will be surrounded by dirt tracks
drag strips and one autocross course all within 30 mins driving time at most. the area is more carburated oriented and all should be ok. In september the city hosts the Fall Street Machine Nationals. I hope to be there with the car cruising and taking pics.
I am aware that some if not most on this board will be very happy to see me leave. You know who you are So "everyone" stay healthy, happy, be safe, and most of watch out for each other.

Ron

I've always enjoyed reading about your projects, Ron, so keep posting here. And if you've never lived in the midwest, lots of snow in the winter, so be careful. But one way to look at that... at least you'll have plenty of 'natural' down-time for your projects. Good luck to you.

Well. now that I have safely arrived at my new home. All I can say is its HOT as HELL and humid. Had a storm go thru sunday It put on a good light(lightening) show, wicked sound effects(thunder) and rain, All the time it was 90+deg outside! The country side is beautiful, lots of running room for cars to stretch their mph limit on the country roads, NO SMOG Required to register a vehicle, very few imports, There is a 1/8 and 1/4 drag strips near by, One 3/8 mile banked dirt Oval track (thats were I'll be on Friday nights), and the local scca autocross location is 15 mins. away. A average of 50 entries per event allowing 5! timed runs plus fun runs at the end of the day. The people are very friendly, Sales tax is less(this past weekend there was a State wide No sales tax weekend!) I could definatley get used to this

Lebanon has a really great show with some of the best dirt late model drivers around.

Take care Ron.
