I have an 87 with the firewall mounted pump. What hardware is all needed to convert to the tank pump system?

I think you just need the fender mounted tank, the pump, and then to extend your harness to reach from the firewall to the fender. I think the pump is the same just mounted in a different tank in a different location, but I may be wrong there.

Nope...different sytems, different wiring.

Check with Thomas at House of Camaro or Dave at Thirdgen USA for parts. Their info is in the "SoCal Thirdgen Friendly Companies" sticky.

They'll probably tell you the same thing I just did...you have to change the whole works...different wiring system.

The pump on yours is controled by the wiper motor so the switch inside is wrong for the '88 and up system.

Might be able to rewire it but......

may i ask why you want to change the system to the newer pump style? seems like a lot of work for little or no change to the operation of it...
