The car started. It turns out the distributor was 180 off . But now the issue is that its running extremely rich. Any ideas?

 

How long has it been running? How long does it take for the ecm to relearn. Is it possible that with some driving the ecm will learn and lean it out? Did you make any mods when you did the rebuild?

 

thanx russ now that i think about it the prom that is in there was tuned for the l05. he had it tuned when i bought it and my guess would be thats why its runing rich

I only let the car idle in the drive way for a few minutes but I will swap out the prom tonight and take it around the block. Thanx Russ

 

I swapped in the ecm from my 89 parts car. Its also a 5spd l03 and it idled better. I put fluid in the trans then started it up and went to put it in gear and it wouldn't go in. Completely forgot about bleeding my clutch hydrolics
