Hey, Vincent how's Camaro's paint holding up? It was pretty thin when i had it. I have some new GM parts that i bought when i had the car. Let me know if you are interested and I'll post up a list or if anyone is also interested in the parts.

It is currently going through an engine transplant. As you can see I just sold the trans out of it.
The paint is still the same. Let me know what you have. I should have the car running again in a few weeks.

I pulled out the torque converter on the transmission and noticed this piece was missing. I pull out the front seal and I cant fish the broken piece out. Then there are metal shavings in the oil. Im stuck on what to do

thats the thing, i barely was able to buy it off you, i dont have money nor transportation now. You say that it ran, should i install it then flush it after a few miles? ill be patient and try to pull that piece out, im going to head out to get some needle nose pliers.

You are going to need a new pump and stay away from cheep torque converters.

yikes! well i managed to pull the piece out, everything looks good. nothing was chewed up, it just was a piece of the input shaft broke off and stayed inside but still "aligned"

is that the trany that you purchased.....or the converter on the one out of your car?

I have a 27 spline stock converter and a 30 spline 2400 tpi stall converter from slp....if you need one cheap

The one i pulled from my car was ok, it was just slipping to death. This is the one i bought. I do have a nice 2200-2800 stall though i think for now ill use my old converter and flush the system, then install the stall

Ok, I pulled off the piece then pulled the pan off, turns out the metal flakes was just back flow from the filtering, i flushed a gallon through the trans installed it and it runs great. you can feel all shifts and they are light-firm normal driving (under 2000rpm) firm around 3500 and brutal wot, it doesnt chirp 2nd, it burns it, and then chirps 3rd.

Great trans afterall, just a little panic on my side after seeing the damaged converter

I would check the pan in about 500 miles.

This trans blew already. lost 4th and is now slowly dying. put probly like 2000 miles was running tci max shift oil. pulled the pan and had chunks of black crispy crumbs
