It should be a very interesting day. Let's hope Troy can make it to top things off.

Re: Dyno Day IS A GO!

Take a look at sc3g.org events forum; there was a listing there, not sure if it's current.

Everything was warped from all the welding, and needed extensive hand-fitting to get it to seal, and now the throttle body collides with the water neck, plus I need to clearance a few other items and make a cold air system of some sort. Unfortunately, many months of porting/grinding has left the car covered with dust, (windows were open w/o battery) so even though I could probably get it running and dyno ready if I stay on it until the sun comes up, it will not be suitable for the papparazzi, so I'll save myself the additional frustration and do it some other time.

Westminster, but they have a VERY small parking lot there. So you may have to park elsewhere.

Re: Dyno Day IS A GO!

Some troll edited my post on the SC3G board, and deleted Don's.
I won't stand for this!!!

I said, "I am going to watch the car's get dynoed and make HP. Not listen to the whiners making noise."
I guess free speech violates the terms and conditions of the new regime?

Certain people should tuck away their little ego and actually let the car people have some fun, instead of trying to micromanage everything.

If Mike is going to turn this into another one of his "events" then I will just stay home. ***AGAIN*** After all I can just read about his escapades later, and not have to sit through it.

Absolutely! I’ve been called everything under the sun but never a troll! That’s awesome!

Like I said on the other board:

“I deleted modified/deleted my post, your post, Toms post, Vince’s post, and Dons post. It’s not communism Julie, its defusing a situation before it gets out of hand.

The reason I eliminated the second portion of your post is the whining reference. Another members post utilized the same nomenclature and was subsequently deleted along with every other post having to do with said subject matter.”

Dyno Day isn’t my event nor would I ever try and make it my event. Kevin and/or Don usually coordinate Dyno Day events as Don is the builder and Kevin is the tuner. That is the way it has always been and will be in the future.

My involvement is limited to recording the pulls, making a video that we can put up on You Tube so the other 3rd gen enthusiasts on TGO and across the country can see what kind of numbers the highly modified tuned ports in our club put down, and support my fellow members. I’m afraid the only ‘escapades’ you could potentially bear witness to would be my destroying a pair of chili cheese burgers from Tommy’s at some point during the day.

Nothing personal Jules, just trying to keep the peace…

Yeah, and I'm hoping it STAYS peaceful, because most every "event" these days involves some trouble that you started off the board... or ends the career of some poor waiter!
I guess I take it too personally when I see somebody get picked on.

Normally I would take the bait on something like this but I’m going to stand down in the interest of the greater good. I’ve known you for the better part of a decade Julie and have had some great times with you which I’m going to take your comments under advisement and going to suggest we collectively move forward and leave the past in the past.

Re: Dyno Day IS A GO!

APATHY

that's the key word here.

People are becoming accustomed to accepting whatever they get be it product or service regardless of the cost.

It's extremely hard to get your moneys worth any more. Edlecrock is a fine example of that.

As far as the "Event Planner" getting fired, our complaint was not the only straw that broke that camels back. Mike spent hours getting that set up and when we arrive the crew on duty did not even know we were coming. The staff then did everything they could to meet our prearranged requests and were generously compensated for their efforts.

And APATHY is why our govt is as Fk'd up as it is right now. Too many people saying, well that politician is not that bad. Well now it is and the power brokers are entrenched and I doubt we will ever crawl out of this mess.

Only when people are willing to stand up for what they expect to receive for their labors and accompanied compensation will business and govt listen to us.

I dare anyone with complaints to take the time to set up a "holiday" dinner. Evan a monthly meeting at a new venue. I've done it, its a lot of work and you never make everyone happy.

Dyno Day IS A GO!
Only to those invited.

Apparently the rules were changed at midnight 10 hours before the event.

It would appear that people who make money off this event and advertise it on this board without compensation to this board are becoming selective as to who can attend.
