Time Attack April 15th
April 15th, Friday, adams is holding their open practice night. IIRC its 30 for the whole night to drive and 3 dollars to watch.
I plan on being there, maybe I can improve on my 45.63. I hope to see some other thirdgens there.

Re: Time Attack April 15th
Called to confirm. 30 dollars for the whole night. They run it a little different tonight, the guy told me they have TEN MINUTE sessions! i.e. you can be on the track for 10 mins straight if you want.
The downside is there are no lap times given tonight so if you want lap times I suggest having someone time your laps. I have onboard telemetry so I will have my times. I think in a 10 min session it would kind of be cool to play catch up to see who is faster and more consistent of a driver
See you guys there!

I figured it wasn't open for us tonight so I did the brakes on the van. By 3pm it's too late for us to leave.

New best for me, 45.57. Not too bad considering my hoosiers are about done.
Here are some videos:
This is me leaving an Rx8 behind and catching the Miata in front of me. The warm weather is making me overheat. By the time I caught the Miata my temp gauge was almost in the red. Time for a new radiator.

Here's a video of Frank tearing it up. He runs amazingly well on 245 street tires.

A bunch of clean laps

I'll have to go through my datalogs to figure out which one of these laps in the vids is my 45.5, I also ran multiple 45.8s. I may have run some times inbetween too. I'll need to go over everything.

Re: Time Attack April 15th
It was fun last night, had to split early. Spun the car out a few times.I'm going to have to back off my timing a bit so my pinging stops. My master cylinder was kinda leaking out of the cover. Do the LS1's fit our cars?? Thanks Pablo for telling me how to wiring up that second fan. Nice videos

Did you hear that they are planning on doing another time attack at Apex (perris) on the 28th? I might go. You interested in heading out?

I'll have to check the gasket out.. Ive had bad luck with those dripping for some reason.
I'm definitely interested in going to Apex.. As long as work cooperates.

Re: Time Attack April 15th
So what is the fastest time at the track? What is the fastest 3rd gen time? Just wondering how far off the pace you are. I would think you are getting close.

Re: Time Attack April 15th
The fastest time at the track is a 43.3, pro japanese driver in an evo (unknown mods). The fastest thirdgen time is what I ran.
I still have a lot of room to improve. I believe I need more roll stiffness and could use more hp. I could also lose 200 to 300 lbs from the car still

Hehehehe, I would love to see a Third Gen take top spot. Looks like Jerry has fallen off the face of the Earth. Hopefully he will be back at it soon.
