I'd appreciate more info regarding fuel cell and passing smog.

I know it has to be a DOT approved one, which are not that easy to find.

Besides that, what are the problems as far as passing the test:

Vented gas cap ?

Im unsure about your cell, But yes they test the gas cap. Im unsure on the new testing but from little I have heard Im unsure if a cell tank passes the test.

Yeah well I'm ordering one anyway, will have to figure it out later. From what I've understood so far is I think if one runs it via an extension to a stock type filler lid, may be ok. But what fails big times is if they care that it is a fuel cell, since only few fuel cells are DOT approved.
