Installed Hurst Billet/Plus shifter last night
Or should I say this morning (another 2am in the car port modification)
Anyways was very straight forward and easy to install once I "cut" through a few things. But now what I am going to blame my slopping shifting on!
LOL

What cutting? I guess you got lazy and didn't take the console lid off. I hope you installeld the plastic piece onto the end of the shift lever before you put it onto the tranny. Otherwise you will still have something to blame. Lon

plastic piece?
I removed the shift plate, console lid, and the upper console off, well as much as possible without having to disconnect everything. The cutting I was referring to was that I cut through the stock shifter boot rather than unbolting the entire thing just to get at the stock shifter. I did then bolt in the hurst making sure to use their boot when I installed the shifter. What plastic piece are you referring to? not the boot I imagine?

I think he's taking about the plastic *** like thing at the bottm of the shift inside the tranny.
Did you cut the stock rubber boot that attaches to the floor board?

Yup, just enough to get the stock one out and the Hurst installed, I didn't completely thrash it I just figured it made more send to get through it to the shifter rather than taking forever to unbolt it from the floor board. I did make sure to check the bushing joint in the tranny and use the boot that came with the new shifter, Hurst even had a little paper insert stating out imperative it is to use their boot to keep the shifter "clean."

Cool. now you got a new potato masher (mashin gears), oar (so you can row through the gears), or grinder.
Did you tighten the stop pins?
