Do I need new tires??
Well actually, seeing how I did a nice little 180* skid into a retainer wall on I-75, going on to I-20 I would definately think it's time to replace those crappy GA's. Don't worry about the car, hardly anydamage whatsoever. The tire hit first and took the brunt of the hit....anyways....
I believe right now on my 91' RS I have 235/55R-16s on right?? Well, I'm really set on the Kuhmo Ecsta Supra 712s, but the closest size I can get them in according to www.tirerack.com's search engine is 245/50R-16s...
Will this fit my stock rims?
No rubbing right?
And this is a wider tire right??.....and maybe a little bit shorter??
Woohoo.....more fender-tire gap
P.S.- My car is not lowered, nor will it ever be.

Hey jarhead
Tirerack has the listing that was the stock replacement size tire for the car. There had better NOT be any rubbing, etc.!!
Will fit just fine, and the fender-tire gap will hardly be noticable. Yes, it's a little bit wider (by 10mm) and about 5% of the difference in that 10mm will be reflected in the tire height.

Those tires are awsome.. Yeah 245/50/16 is stock on irocs so they will fit fine. I have even heard of 255/50/16's fitting fine. Might take care of your fender gap problem.

You shouldn't need new tires from one 180 spin. Some people do that for fun on a regular basis. Doing it once won't hurt... but repeatedly, it will start to add up and take its toll on the tires.

Well, according to Kumho, there's only 2 places within 20 miles that sell their tire, and one of the them is out and the other is freaking expensive.
I just can't get a break this week. I ordered KYB struts and shocks to go on with the new tires, but that doesn't do me any good w/o the tires! Also, apparently some companies around here are really pissed at www.tirerack.com for underselling them, so they are banning together and noone will put them on for me
The only place I found that will do it, quoted me $80 and no warrenty
This sucks

I just found out one of those places will order them for me and they'll be here on Friday.
The only thing is that they sell them for $99 as opposed to the $87 from www.tirerack.com, but oh well. Atleast it will save me the trouble of finding someone to put them on. Also, if I run over a nail or something in a parking lot, they'll replace them for free.
The other place quoted me $125/ea. for a grand total of $590
The place I am going to comes to $485

You measure puddles by their circumference?
I'd go by the diameter, but that's just me.
Don't worry, just messing with ya
You said I-75 and I-20, sounds like Atlanta. What area do you live in? There's got to be places that'll put them on for you. Maybe try independant shops if it is the chain stores saying that.
Good luck,
MikeS
Edit: Nevermind. Just realized you got it all worked out.
