Drag Brakes?
What is the difference between drag brakes and regular brakes? Baer makes these great brakes for our cars but they cost too much for my wallet, and Strange makes a cheeper 4 piston kit that is more drag oriented. Why? What is the difference, they are both 12" rotors with big calipers? Can anyone explain?

Drag brakes are for stopping at the end of a 1/4" mile run, not driving in stop-n-go freeway traffic. Drag brakes are usually thinner (to save weight), thus they probably wont stand up well to extended use.

So you think that I should just leave the brakes that are on it, because the drag brakes are too small in thickness? I just look at the small rotors and calipers that are on it, with my big motor, and think how stupid I am for not upgrading brakes. But, I am not going to spend $1200 on a front brake kit.

But all of these guys are saying they are having problems getting the caliper carriers and the mounting brackets for them. As far as I know, there is no one that has come up with a solution for this either, do you know if these things have changed? Maybe a web post if you do know? I am willing to spend $6-$700 on them total, including lines.
