"Crossbars" in front of radiator

Does anyone know the purpose of these two bars? I took them off to install my ram air intake, and was wondering what their purpose was.

Thanks, Doug

The bars are to help prevent body flex. You really shouldn't remove them.
I took mine off when I installed an extra elec fan to blow thru the A/C consensor.
Now I'm trying to remember where I put them so I can re-install them.
