Can't use spacers with extra long wheel studs??

I 'm in a situation where I need to use wheel spacers to get the proper clearance and the only way to get enough of the stud to thread into the lugnut is to get longer wheel studs.

I looked in the summit catalog and under the moroso studs it says they cant be used with wheel spacers.

Just wondering why, and are all the other brands of studs this way?
Thanks in advance for any replies. Derek

Because wheel spacers side load the stud too much if they're thick enough. How big a spacer are we talking?

So they don't want someone putting a 5" spacer on a 6" long stud?

about 7/16" to 1/2" spacers. So would these be OK?

I wouldn't go much past 1/4 inch with just a spacer. 3/8 at most IMO. Past that use an adapter.

Buy rims with the proper backspacing or have the diff width changed.
