to give you an example i had a car for sale, i wanted 12,000 for it. someone in NJ said one there would cost 18,000 at least. ended up selling them a car that belonged to one of my friends. ok to answer your question last rear i bought with disk, 3:73 gears cost me 75 dollars.

ask $100 first, then go up if they don't take it, you would be lucky if you got it for $100

Same thing. "Posi" is just a slang short for "PosiTraction™" which was GM's first limited slip rear end and the abbreviated word "posi" just came to apply to any limited slip differential.

Nope. If it doesnt slip at all it is a spool which is an aftermarket piece that replaces the carier and locks the two axles together. Posi slips otherwize the car would give you heck going around corners. If the posi is in good shape it will not slip other than going around corners.

sorry teal, well at least i learned somthing, hey i know this kid at school who baught a mazda lowrider truck for $3000(cdn) and put a 350 (170,000kms) in it, he blew the rear end, so he welded the spyder gears together and sold it to this 16 yo (who didn't know about the milage or the blown rear end) for $5500, the car accually handles not bad round corners, guess its cause the rear of trucks are so light.
